I owe my come up in PAD to Shaitan. The HP boost helped me survive major damage in weekly dungeons before I knew about the zombie team or void defense abilities. I still run him on the weekend dungeon raids. Love him!

I actually zero stoned God Rush with a Ronia team. Thanks to this guy's active, I survived Athena and by-passed Zeus Dios' pre-emptive, then used it again to enhance orbs and take down Stratios at 50%. I never thought I would complete a descend thanks to this guy, but he does have his shining moments .
By b----n 5 years ago ( 6.4.3 )
The huge issue with Shaitan: 80% of the time when Shaitan's active will be useful, Echidna would be just as useful.

Shaitan's active advantages: Saves you for 3 turns at enemies on 1 or 3 timers. Saves you for 4 turns for enemies on a 2 timer. Saves you for more than 3 turns for guys on a 4 timer or more. It carries over to the next floor if you sweep.

Echidna's advantages: 5 turns less to activate. Works on any enemy no matter their element (Shaitan only vs wood). Also works on each guy individually which matters if there's more than a 3 turn difference between the enemies (example fighting a guy on a 1, 2, and 4 timer; Shaitan's ability won't last long enough to cover the 4 timer guy).

Echidna also has better stats, though Shaitan does has better awakenings.

Shaitan and all the elementals are mostly useless. :( There's some very specific situations where they can be good but they're far and few between. Most of the time they're just guys with bad leader skills, terrible actives in most situations, bad stats, and decent awakenings depending on your team set up.

I would like to see the elementals get a Leader Skill Boost (2.5x hp at start, 3x hp next evo, 3.5x at ultimate), and an active boost (Void all _____ damage for 1 turn and instead heal 25% of damage that would've been done, 9 turn cool down, max at 5).

The one advantage he has over Echidna is that his ability isn't blocked with bosses throw up their shield. But he is very situational. I only use him against bosses that block Echidna's menace ability.
Urau2k 5 years ago ( 6.4.5 )
Wouldn't he work well with Echidna? With Echidna you have to get attacked once before delaying again, so you could pop this to void the damage.

With 2 of these and 2 Echidna (one levelled up) you would go 15 rounds of taking zero damage from green monsters that normally attack every turn.

If you level up 2 Echidna to 12 rounds and 3 Shaitains to 18, you could alternate and never take green damage.

For one green boss that attacks every other turn, you could never take damage with 2 Echidna levelled just once to 14 and 3 unlevelled Shaitan.

Even if you can't keep from ever getting hit because they aren't fully levelled up, the extra HP if two of the leaders would probably put you over 30k at least and all the delays would give you lots of time to heal up... Odin could be a good partner for that team also.

I use him instead of Echidna ONLY on a devil team because he's a devil.
Jay in reply to Urau2k 5 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
sounds good BUT are you really going to spend stones just to get a few of these?
Walrus 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 )
You forgot he is useful to avoid pre-emptive hits like Zeus-Dios. I just cleared Challenge Dungeon 10 with a dual Minerva devil team by using Ronia and enhancing red orbs with Shaitan after Beelzebub turned the board to poison; Killed Beelze, and next floor (Zeus-Dios) did 0 dmg, and I still had 2 more free turns to bring Zeus-Dios down to 50%, which was very easy with a full red team.

Hmmm...Looks like a potential failsafe for Dreaming Fruit...

Entire series is terrible. I dread getting multiple of these in the rare egg machine. I have all but the yellow and only kept em to have rares. After fusing nearly 2 of each. So bad.
PandaBare 5 years ago ( 6.5.2 )
Maybe if they're skills were a 0-2 turn count. I'd consider it. But in a dungeon this skills helpful ur dead before u can get to it

HMM. well, that's funny, hes actually a better RGY Orb enhancer than all the others simply cause of that row. Funny thing was, when i originally saw him, i thought he was a dragon. Now he can chill with his Dragon homies and can proudly consider himself one... on a RGY team only. as for his devil typing, its a waste on him since Hera-Ur is a much better alternative, even near identical awakenings. and she's a she.
and Hey, at least his cool-down matches Ronia.
nootnoot 4 years ago ( 7.2.3 )
In Islam, Shaitan is literally considered to be their version of Satan...even sound similar. There are some differences but still the same idea.
So the devil type makes sense. Should be his main type, actually.
guacamole1 5 years ago ( 7.2.2 )
Totally agree with the Balance/Dragon typing would make him a bit more useful
By Greg! 5 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
How well will this guy fit in with the new D/R Ult Evo of Lucifer (Pseudo-Ronia team)?

• Devil Sub-type
• Fire element
• Fire Row Enhance
• Decent RCV

His uses seem to be situational and very limited, though. So far, the only uses I see for him are for Wood-type descends (Hera-Beorc...and others). Other than that, Ronia and D/R Lucifer definitely have better subs. I wanna hear your opinions, guys!
By jellykid 5 years ago ( 6.4.3 )
Look, my team is currently lacking any fire attribute, and I thought this would make a good addition. Can someone please tell me if this is really worthit?
By Walrus 5 years ago ( 6.4.5 )
The use for this entire series is very specific. At least Shaitan has a dual type which makes it more viable specially on Ronia/devil teams and other spike teams that cannot afford to get hit by green mobs. I think the material cost for the Evos is too high, and I do agree with other posters, the entire series need to have dual type and at the very least a leader skill buff and lower active CD.

If his CD was like 5. I might considered using him. Otherwise I rather bring an orb changer which provide me better stats.

Glad I held on to this guy.

Japanese coming buff makes him much more useful. Guess I'll skill him up with the one weird sounding collab returning.

How much more often would you use the elemental series if they had a second row enhance?
