He is only going to get 1 shot with that gun, since the middle prong of the fork is in the barrel. I guess that makes it a harpoon gun.

As underrated as Rowdy Red Samurai Goblin, this fella makes a serviceable substitute for siren even though he lacks in the RCV department. You'll need to find recovery elsewhere, but he is definitely worth getting, max skilling, and awakening if you don't yet have a siren.

This is something I really love about PAD and demonstrates the elegance of the game's design. This crummy scrub can be a viable monster in the early to mid game with a bit of love. Is he perfect? Heck no, but a 5-turn heart converter is a 5-turn heart converter and clever application of this ability might yield a Matering, or a dragon, or maybe even a Hera.

Anyone know what that 52 on his helmet might mean or be representative of? Always been curious about that...

The Number #52 on helmet stands for ( Water Element Pressure Converted-Crushing Pressure ).
Heart will burst at this pressure. I can't remember exact wording.

52 can be read as "Gobu", short for "Goburin" in Japanese.
"go" is the standard reading for 5 as a numeral, and "bu" is an accented reading of "futatsu", which is the counting method reading for 2. (ex: two layered silk is called Habutae)

FWIW, the Japanese love to do number puns. For example, a few years ago the drink mix Milo had a promotion with Kaiketsu Zorori where they offered two mugs, one with a handle in the shape of a 3 and the other with a handle in the shape of a 6 (3=mi, 6 = ro).

Does anyone suggest using this as a sub over Megalodran?

Anyone else know why there is no ult evo for This and Green? I mean sure do away with the Samurai Gobling and replace with ogre...but I wan ult evo for those two soo bad...would be amazing to see...Just 💙 the 💖 converter when skill is maxed has saved me so many times

Goblins have no ultimates for the same reason Slimes, Chimeras, Carbuncles don't have ultimates: they're just low-level creeps from the early game. You're meant to move on from them as you find better drops. It's like how your starter can carry you through the early game but eventually you find something better. You can keep Marine Spec Ops for cost/rarity restricted dungeons, but his utility will eventually be overtaken by something with a 99 level cap.

That said, I wouldn't necessarily rule out the possibility of Ultimate Evolutions for the Goblins or even the Slimes, Carbuncles, Knights, and Demons. For instance, the Starter Dragons, Ogres, Healer Girls, and Mystic Knights started off as low- to mid-level fare, but they were given Ultimate Evolutions with varying degrees of usefulness. Heck, the Starter Dragons are getting their second Ultimate Evolutions that could make they into viable mid- to end-game subs at least and the Sticker Girkls got notable buffs with their Ultimate Evolutions.

Long story short, if GungHo felt the need to buff some low-level fare with better evolutions, then they COULD do the same for others like the Goblins.

All of these monsters (except the carbuncles, whose actives don't restore much health) actually have really great actives but awful stats. They really just need a little attention and an ultimate because they have potential. The carbuncles' skill could be further improved as well (maybe it could restore 10000 hp), and the goblins are wild cards in that there are a lot of skills that would work for them.

Yea but they could make it to where you combine all the goblin/ orges together for a totally new monster that could evo then ult evo. Still would take alot of work and exp. But would keep the validity of the creeps in the game to be able to use in a process for an endgame type of monster.
