I just wish they'd convert those two water rows to bindproof.
By Guest 3 years ago ( 11.0.2 )
Why are there water rows when dqxq doesn't have water attribute?
FrozenE 3 years ago ( 11.0.2 )
Because gungho hates us. Anything even the auto heals would have been nice but nope heres 2 literally useless awakens.
Talia in reply to FrozenE 3 years ago ( 12.0.3 )
Doesn't it technically help the damage of other teamates that are blue, so not totally useless? I'd rather have that than 500hp autorecovery.
By Shoukon 3 years ago ( 9.6.3 )
Matching 8-connected orbs and 3 more colors (hearts included) is quite challenging.
In addition, since you can't have too much Light Orbs on your board, or you won't have enough of other colors, you seldom got the chance to match 2 rows (8 orbs + 6 orbs = 14 orbs)

Ilm, on the other hand, acts more like a mono-team, and can easily match 2 light rows, and enjoys higher Row-Enhance multipliers.

Therefore, It might be possible that the damage output of Ilm, albeit having Atk x100 only, is close to, if not surpass, Revo-DQXQ's Atk x256.

I recommend a tricolor team with relevant orb changers. Spikes are readily available when there are only three orb types and heal on the board. I prefer light/water/wood. Also, as stated by submandave, "at least 1814.4x" on a spike...

Personally, I'm stoked for this. Especially with 100 million HP monsters coming out these days. Good luck!
Leo 3 years ago ( 9.6.3 )
The thing is, you don't always need the 8 orbs. Both teams would require 4 combos to get what they need, so 12 orbs minimum for Ilm, 14 for DQXQ to get 100x (assuming double leaders). The difference being, Ilm needs 6 light/fire, 3 of the other, and another match. DQXQ only needs 5 of water/light and 3 of 3 other types of orbs. That's 9 musts for Ilm but 5 for DQXQ, with up to 3 extra to deal more. With actives, Ilm easily gets this, while DQXQ requires certain orbs to be on for it to work. Then DQXQ gets 144x with an extra water/light orb, so on average, DQXQ probably has the higher damage.

lol if you get used to it it's pretty easy
Kirito 3 years ago ( 11.0.2 )
I agree. I have 4 DQXQs and the only one I ever use is her L/L ultimate on my amaterasu healer team (which I barely ever use anymore). On the other hand, I use my Ilm all the time for harder content. Ilm also has a lot of good board changers subs, and pairs very well with Anima in coop mode for very easy activation of insane damage. Honestly, if you pop 70-100 million on a turn, which I easily do with Ilm using actives, you will kill anything anyway. So DQXQ could theoretically do a lot more damage. Dead is dead. And if I want insane damage all I need is my Kanna with a Facet inherit on the team.

Sorry to rip on DQXQ on its reincarnation page. I never understood why this card is so sought after and always shows up in players choice godfests. I wish I had a good use for all my DQXQs, but I just don't see it. IMO there are too many better leaders and better subs in the game. I would love it if someone proved me wrong!

For all you people complaining about how eight orbs is a hard do for these guys look no further than the kenshin collab for karou, as an inherit she is an amazing thing. Instant top and bottom row to light and water, or there is vaan with the same thing except swap the water for fire. Then all you will need after words is 2 other colors and 2 other light orbs and presto insta activation.

Incredibly sad that their third typing is "Balanced" and not "Healer"
XCWarior 3 years ago ( 11.0.2 )
Yeah, especially when you think that Balanced is the 1 type of monster that can use any type of the Latent Killer Awokens...

Oh wait, maybe we don't care she didn't get that Healer typing.

Yet another example of how GungHo sees rainbow teams as glass cannons. First U&Y, then Reincarnated Sakuya and now Reincarnated DQXQ gaining nothing but a damage boost to their leader skills. The reason this disappoints me is because I love rainbow teams, and with the exception of Ra Dragon, there's not really a top tier rainbow lead. Sakuya's too inconsistent, DQXQ are too orb hungry and require more board changing than they already did and Umi and Yami suffer from the same thing that at least 80% of rainbow leads (including the aforementioned other two: a lack of defense. I think that if more rainbow leads receive defensive multipliers of some kind, they could make a comeback.

Four combos to make 256x atk is not hard, and most "reduce damage" leads cannot touch that. As for orb hunger, eight orbs is not hard to come by; even farmable monsters' actives are capable of producing yellow or blue as well as a plethora of effects alongside the orb changes. This argument might hold true for like, Savior, but not here. The only time it is troublesome is against high combo shields.
This is all not to mention that the additional atk bonus for 5-8 orbs provides excellent damage control compred to say Myr or Keade, who have outstanding defense, but hit for all-or-nothing; rarely will 8 matching orbs drop and screw you against a leader with resolve or damage absorb.
The way the math works, rainbow teams will always need higher multipliers than mono because of the multipliers from the same color matches on mono teams. So why not roll with that?

That's why some people think the only good rainbow team is Ra Dragon, despite the relative lack of attack power.
2.25x HP and 2.25x Rcv gives Ra Dragon enough of a tankability to be good.

Also, Raijin as leader can be pretty good, though her subs are kinda limited.
And if you are going to form a light Raijin Team (all having light as their main-attribute), you will have a much more difficult time choosing the right subs.

I have to choose Ana_ValkRose and Lt/Fr Amaterasu, but they have low HP.
My team has 28000-ish HP even though they are all +297 with HP+15% badge..

In my opinion, a team with HP less than 30000 is just uninviting, despite the LS damage reduction.

Diablos, Uruka, and Tachibana (Nohime to a lesser degree) are very powerful 7x6 leaders and enable the rainbow leaders with no HP mult (Sakuya, DQXQ... Gainaut, Fenrir, Azathoth) in different ways.

Note that hitting 8 orbs for DQXQ's full row activation is a little harder, but 7 orbs comfortably gives you x14 from her end, instead of x16.

Also note that 7x6 boards make matching 3 rows much more dependable. Only 14 out of 42 orbs on the board must be non-row colors. The difficulty is in actually matching 3 rows on a 7x6 board.

TPAS are also easier to use while performing high combos on 7x6 boards, even while doing rows, so TPA based rainbow-friendly subs can shine more here.

· Diablos is the most high octane, granting the greatest damage from his leader skill. As it is such a high multiplier for doing 1 thing (ATK x8.5 at 8 combos), he allows DQXQ to deal x34 damage with no row, which is reasonable for harming resolve bosses without hitting them to 1 health. As he's not light att, he won't benefit from DQXQ's rows, though, and his active might as well not exist unless you can stomach stalling for a high value inherit or use it to drop an enemy below a resolve threshold. Using a water or light blob, instead of a row, and going for 8 combos from there can allow you to fix your damage to moderately large amounts, as opposed to massive amounts.

· Uruka has a reasonably high multiplier still, but requires specific boards to provide her tankiness. On the bright side she has an amazing active. She's almost always gonna be worse for DQXQ's purposes than Diablos EXCEPT she has an unbind awakening, and DQXQ is technically allowed to use water orbs for her rows as well. It's okay for DQXQ to not get the benefit of row damage bonus because she's statted defensively, so there is a water-focused option here for some boxes.

· Tachibana has an abysmal multiplier compared to the other two. But having 2 7c with her amount of attack, she hits like a truck. You can also use Apollo and Alcyone as board changers freely with her which creates great boards for DQXQ and Sakuya.

All of the regular orb colors are on Da Qiao's sword, and I like it. It's a really nice touch. I know I've already said something like that when this Revo was revealed.

16x16 =256x and i am loving it
submandave 3 years ago ( 9.6.3 )
Actually, when you consider the 2.25x for 8 connected, assume these are Light and include a row (1.8x RE just for the leaders), plus the minimum 1.75x for the four+ combos needed, you're actually looking at least a 1814.4x.
By zelias 3 years ago ( 9.6.3 )
considering the card alone (no leader skill, only main attribute and with +99 in atk), she went from 2490.8 dmg with a row to 3218.6 with a row.
it doesn't look so big, but when you have a multipler of 100x it starts to add up (it's almost a 30% damage increase if we only consider the main attribute and slightly less than a 40% if we consider the sub attribute).

I can't wait to see her on EU servers

Hi, i need help : my Awoken Da Qiao & Xiao Qiao is level max and ready for Reincarnation but when i clic on evolution button, the only option is reverse the Ultimate Evolution. Why ? :(
Pikagami 3 years ago ( 9.6.3 )
Because their reincarnated evo hasn't been released in NA/EU/KR yet. There's usually a 2-month or so lag with it comes to content updates in this game. It would be great to see GungHo adapt simultaneous content launches someday…

Should I REVO both of my DQXQ's or do a separate Ult. Evo for the other one?
CocoPoison 3 years ago ( 11.0.2 )
I recommend keeping one in the awoken for just in case there's a dungeon with no dupes. (I personally use her as a sub for Myr with revo and awoken forms of her) however, if you want to use her as a leader, then you can revo both as I believe subs and leaders don't count as dupes
