You need 20 orbs, not 16.

Her leader skill makes it possible to have zero moves available.

The smallest board is 4x5 and so it holds 20 orbs, even if you somehow had jammers, poison, mortal poison you still have enough room that there will be three of something to match.

With this leader skill you need five of something to mach, on a 4x5 board it's possible to have no more than four orbs of each color even with just the standard orbs. On a standard 5x6 board it takes 2 of the negative orb types, but you can still have a board where you don't have enough of any type of orb for a match.

I wonder how the game would handle this situation. Would it reshuffle your board? Would you be trapped moving orbs around without ever being able to clear anything? Now I want to get her to test this.

I totally forgot that it doesn't count turns for active skills if you don't make a match! Yeah, you'd be hosed.

Did you try this? My guess is that the game will just let you move orbs and count turns without making a match until you had an active available to change orbs.
