She likes to be called ReLaxshmi while she's on her beach vacation. (Or ReLaxmi)

I pulled this card and didn't think too much of it until I read the leader skill.

I was never really impressed with Lakshmi or Parvati because the orb requirement to consistently atk is huge. (I have Typhon and he doesn't get much use because of this.)

Then this comes along and totally changes the game. Like sumire, kaede, and Myr, the shield now stays up as long as you sweep a floor every turn, making this card a pretty consistent 1/6.25/1.5 lead with 35% damage reduction (1/39/2.25 and 58% shield for dual leads). The active *almost* perfectly synergizes with the LS, so if there is one heart on the board you're set.

I'm not a pro with Sumire like many out there, but I have her and also was interested in cross shields enough to build a full fledged Myr. Sumire has the 5o1e mechanic, restricting her play style a bit because it's hard to consistently make 5 plus a tpa, let alone a row. As a result, for cross shield novices like me, this limits the sub pool a bit to those that make hearts, and those with a crap-ton of orb enh awakenings. (Not a complaint, just an observation.). Myr has the opposite problem. Her subs are completely flexible, but she needs the cross shield up 99% of the time to be useful, so the lack of intermediate damage can make this card less than ideal unless you have a fleet of Wukongs and DQXQs. (Some people do, I don't.). There are ways around this, but it's still an all or nothing lead. Same goes for Wet Myr, obviously.

Now look at this card. Paired with another it offers nonzero damage and nice rcv without a cross shield. When the shield goes up, it becomes nearly as powerful as Myr. So the key is that unlike Myr, if your shield goes down and you don't have hearts or a nice active up, you're not completely screwed. Also, you could have TPA, row, or oe subs and still get the job done. Completely flexible sub pool like Myr, and for me (and I'm sure some others out there) in a better color since I have better blue cards.

Now consider pairing with Sumire. You get higher atk (I think 49x as of right now?) a little less rcv, and a better damage reduction shield to deal with low HP. If you happen not to be able to find 5 orbs even if the shield is up, you're still looking at 9.75x atk instead of 2.35 with dual Sumire leads. So clear the trash floor with your tpa and keep your shield going for the next round.

Now consider pairing Lakshmi with blue myr. I didn't have the 500k or insane luck to manage to pull one, but I have friends who already had them up on day 1. As a good friend, I'm going to give them the pal points, and play some rounds with a 1/43.75/1.5 team with 67.5% damage reduction. Lakshmi brings an rcv multiplier to the table even when the shield is down, has slightly lower atk, and has nonzero damage (2.5x atk) when the shields go down. The sub pool and play style (tpas vs rows, etc) are completely flexible, as with Myr. Even if your friends don't have Wet Myr up, I'm sure you have at least one who has regular Myr, so this principle still applies given Myr's flexibility. (The two drawbacks are that you have one less blue card, and that when Myr makes hearts she avoids light orbs, not blue. Otherwise, it's still a great pair and worth trying.

Main point: try playing Island Lakshmi with another Island Lakshmi. If you can't find one, try a friend with Sumire and a friend with Myr and see which you like better!

Hope this helps!

I've been messing around some and I can vouch for this - Beach Lakshmi teamed up with BMyr is a solid combo. Plenty of damage and shield but not completely useless when you can't activate the heart cross.

I've been using her with Sumire to great success, the shield and damage reduction carrying over on sweep had me muttering "why is this allowed" all day

His cute wife in an hot outfit is enjoying playing volleyball with him.
Despite the titanic difference in physical power, who wouldn't do the same just to see that smile again? :3

Don't be fooled; Lakshimi has the body of steel and hits like steel. Just forget to clear the jammer orbs she brings in in Extreme Arena 2 and you will taste it yourself.

EDIT: Ugh, comment cloned itself. Forgive me.

But he doesn't get to see that smile, at least, not until after the match. Their opponent does, right before they get to say goodbye to their own face, by the looks of that (spiked/devitama) ball.

Volleyball with the gods, is a very high-stakes game, it seems.

The volleyball with two pointy ears must be painful as hell to hit. Imagine it just flies straight into your face.

So.... Rolled the PAD Island REM twice... Got this card both times.... Not sure whether to be super happy or not. Also already have Sumire, so... who do I use as lead?

How come my level 4 beach lakshmi has double the RCU (400~) of my level 70 beach lakshmi? (200~) they both only have 1 + egg, both on RCU and don't have any awakenings. help

Awoken Lakshmi has higher RCV (not RCU) when she's at lvl 1. It goes lower as her level gets higher!
