Now I know why he lost at Waterloo.

He had attribute disadvantage.

As long as the monster point shop gets a Teddy Roosevelt Dragon, (or a dragon-sized bear) if something like spin's idea happened, I'd be happy.

I hope they feature Joan of Arc in this pantheon. I know she's already in the dragon knights series, but she's one of my most favorite historical figures ever <3

The Dragon Knight series might as well not exist. Jeanne d'Arc deserves something higher profile.

(Look at his pre evo) When a dragon came from behind you and pushed through your crotch and it hurt so bad but you keep the coolness anyway.

You guys have any speculations on the rest of the pantheon?? This is really exciting!

I have a feeling that these cards are going to pair well with their elemental counterpart in the Three Kingdoms Series!

Since they have a Three Kingdoms series the most likely result is it will copy Koei's Bladestorm! (but I'm hoping more for "all eras" not just Romantic myself)

Confirmed through Twitter!

Nobunaga and "Melt" (?)?? are the two new ones. Nobunaga is Dark, and "Melt" is Water.

EDIT: 'Melt' turned out to be You Yu...Don't ask me how lol

I hope Billy the Kid makes in the Legendary Heroes. Technically he is considered to be a hero, but a folk hero.

Let's run a short (pun intended) analysis on Napoleon:

+ Decent weighted stats. His low RCV is countered by his LS (2.25x RCV for double leads)
+ Great LS, giving a 5x easy activation for fire dragons
+ Strong Awakenings. With a double lead, you'll have 10 OE just from your leaders
+++ Very, very strong AS. He combines a 3-turn shield of 35% with an untrollable fire orb creation, all in a cooldown of 7 turns. With double leads, you'll have a shield up for 6/7 turns. If you sub in 1 haste active, you can have a constant shield of 35%, paired with a 2.25 RCV boost for a typing that generally has high-ish HP.

(-) Fire dragons don't have much OE options. Most of the strong fire dragons have 0 or 1 OE. This is not a huge problem, since your leaders provide 10 OE's.
(-) His best subs also have very low RCV, so even with 2.25X, it might prove difficult. This downside gets overshadowed by the great shielding active, of course.

Optimal subs :

*Awoken Hino (High HP, High ATK, triple TPA (easier to combine with a 5-orb/1 OE mechanic)
* R/G Cao Cao (Delay, decent HP and high ATK)
* Awoken Minerva (unbindable, short-cd orb changer, brings some RCV)
* Tsubaki (brings RCV, 2 OE's, untrollable active with haste, good stats, no Ult yet)
* New year's Liu Bei
* New year's Leilan
These are the ones that have an OE awakening (or more, like Leilan)

Other strong subs:
*Yamato
*Uriel (huge RCV)
*Gadius (huge RCV)
*Ronia
*Betelgeuse (his active's cooldown will be buffed to 5 turns, so he's a farmable option to enhance after orb change)
*Guan Yu
*F/L Freyr
*Flame Dragon Knight (bind clear, but very low stats. Will hopefully get an ult one day)

There are actually quite some options to sub in good monsters, but of course they are mostly REM.

His LS overcomes a huge flaw of Dragons (low RCV), combined with a high damage output. The rcv boost is actually even stronger because of his active, which can easily be up all the time when subbing in Freyr or Tsubaki (or another Haste like Gadius). Overall a very strong monsters that finally lets the dragons in PAD get some love!

I like to think the idea for this card was conceived when one of the artists had a sudden eureka moment while reading a Temeraire novel.

I really hope we get a Wood or Water Saladin. He'd be pretty B.A.
Edit: Along with a Water or Wood Genghis Kahn of course!

I think I would rather lead with Napoleon, not that I have either of them.

That artwork looks so disproportioned. His upper body is like 3x his lower.

Eh, nothing out of the ordinary as far as depictions of him are concerned.

The mobile version of Wikipedia might not show all of the portraits but the big hats and coats + little chicken legs make the art here feel right at home.

The diminutiveness of one part of his lower body has been 100% confirmed.

Why would you run Tsubaki as a lead when you have this guy? I'd take a 5xATK/1.5xRCV any time over 6.25 ATK with a slightly harder activation threshold. Tsubaki is the perfect sub for him, being able to have his shield up 100% of the time when running dual Napoleon leads.

Just fyi, Nappy is 6.25x as well. So yeah, basically no reason to run Tsubaki over him.

He killed 1000 people with a cough. That's how powerful he is.
