Someone told me they didn't like how she was drawn, so I asked them "Would you call her art-a-miss?"
submandave in reply to Pharan 4 years ago ( 9.2.1 )
While I agree there is a high correlation between "love the art" comments and ginormous mammaries, IMHO that has nothing to do with it in this case. Too much "junk" swirling around - too much over saturated flare - it's a chore just to tell what's what or even which way she's facing. Moon Flower Huntress, Artemis, for example, is not an overly sexualized pose but still far superior to this, as it presents a well composed view that actually speaks to the nature of the character depicted.
(°~°)@PG in reply to Pharan 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Fair point actually. There's a reason why the Kali artwork is rated so highly :3

I feel ya. I have a Hypermax G/D Artemis. The only hypermax I've got, and now I'm going to have to use 4 Tamas, and 4 Woodpy to get her back into her Hypermax state. The sacrifices you make for love, eh?

Wished her leader skill was ATK x2 when making a wood and wood combo. She would have top Verdandi easily but alas another Awoken to be made as a sub.
By A-pex 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
What the heck is going on with her legs. Plus her booty is so small, this is an outrage. Gungho really needs to hire artists who can actually draw a decent butt. All they care about is chest and I'm getting real tired of seeing huge chest melons, it'd be nice to actually see a card with a nice donk.

As awesome as I think her awokens and everything are...

It takes way too long for me to attempt to digest what's going on in the art. Looks great and all, but I feel as though it's difficult for me to pick out anything. Had to concentrate a bit to realize where the bow was.
Amy 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
I agree Moldy. The art is somewhat disappointing.I would have really liked to be able to see a magnificent bow in there but unfortunately I just see a bunch of shapes that I can't make heads or tales of.Same goes for her body.

By Fausto 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
This artwork is so good.

WAAAY better than Moon Flower Huntress Artemis.

Artemis has been my white whale ever since I rocked the Michael tank team back in the 2/4/2 days (well, its was 4/2/2 for me).

Part of me misses those simpler days.
Jacky@PG 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Wut? I'll never understand peoples tastes...

I'm not saying that the Awoken form art is bad, but Wood/Dark Artemis' art is just as appealing.

"But muh cool pose though."
Fausto in reply to Jacky@PG 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
I've never liked it. G/L Artemis is really cool. She looks tough.

Then the G/D one came out. IMO she has a goofy face, her limbs are all super thin, she just looks child-like.

I'm not a fan. Most people seem to really like it though. Just difference of opinion.
By grace 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Rejoice at this newly learned fact! Verdandi can finally take a wood main attribute with a water sub attribute during an "All Att. Required" dungeon. My Umi and Yama has been doing that for a while now and it was VERRRY unsatisfactory.

ANDDD, she fits in nicely with the rest of the team with her enhanced orbs and her two prongs. Be positive folks. Be positive.

Definitely an interesting leader, but I feel like there are too few wood main attribute water orb changers right now. I'm kind of hoping they buff it to also include wood/wood matches like Vishnu, because it would make her much more powerful. She'd also go perfectly with Awoken Freyja if this happened. Any thoughts?
JD@PG 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
She would've been really powerful than Verdandi and maybe Bastet if her leader skill was wood/wood combo. With the Wood/Water combo, she's an alright leader. You can still use Awoken Freyja to balance your mono green team.
Weiss.EX 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
when u use her sort of an rainbow leader with a easier lead activation just put in a karin her best friend as a Wt/Wd than try for a Wood Mono team the wood as sub and primary stats profit from her HP/Atk 2x bonus (jup the sub can profit to even when the main is non wood when at last the sub is wood), with combo bonus of water & wood to get the 2x combo bonus (u only need it to activate it once to be active)
Last edited by Weiss.EX 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
erknye 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
This may be true, but she auto gives a x2 bonus and the water/wood combo gives another x2. So an auto x4 for 2 Artemis Leads with another x4 with a Wood/Water combo racks out a x16 multiplier! That is certainly more than Verd's x10.89 multipler at max hp, and x4 hp versus Verd's x2.25.
By Greg! 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
With this trend, I can only assume that the element treatment of the other Awoken gods in this pantheon will be...

Ares: Fire/Wood
Hermes: Water/Fire
Apollo: Light/Wood
Persephone: Dark/Water

Time to see what I can do with my four Apollos lol

Very consistant in a bastet team for the following reasons:

-Along with vishnu you can have rain of skyfall wood.
-More reliable in orb change too as I had experienced time and time again with whole board changers like verd, meimei, where they create less than 5 wood orbs.
-Plus she has lower cooldown than both.

Can't say I fancy the row enhance and the blinds but hey no one's perfect. Anyway 10/10 card. Can't wait !

Unfortunately whereas full board changers can produce fewer orbs than desired, double orb changers (such as Liu Bei) often produce too many orbs, preventing you from making the necessary number of combos.
F in reply to Justin 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Yes, you most certainly have a point. You just have to be aware of how much you are changing. However, that can be handled since having pretty much half the board as wood, that gives really high chances of skyfall wood. Anyway, I would have another whole board changer in my team to make myself more versatile, especially to tackle situations similar to the one you stated.
By JD@PG 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
I like where this is heading.

With Awoken Artemis/Freyja combined, you'll be doing a lot of damaged with these two. x13 when you proc Artemis leaderskill and a skill.

It's the revival of the mono green team since 2013.

By kushi<3 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
I don't really get all the negativity, this card is amazing!

First of all, the Active Skill is very strong and definitely an upgrade from her normal active skill. Secondly Her awoken skills are also good, double TPA, a wood row, two orb enhances gives her the flexibilty to be played in almost any kind of team, neither a row or TPA team. Also her stats are pretty good, even though she lacks some HP her good recovery makes up for that. Now I see why people dislike the leader skill but in my opinion it's good to see something new, also the fact that she is more forgiving than some other awokens is a big plus for her. The egyptian gods may be stronger, but if you mess up one combo you could be in big trouble and artemis here gives you a two times attack which is a lot better than nothing. I also really like the fact that her attribute is wood/water, we had enough wood/fire monsters in the past.

Team building with her isn't as difficult as it seems. You all keep forgetting that you can also run a mix of water and wood not only wood main. There is one monster that makes a good sub for her which is the good old Skuld. Even if you don't get enough Wood orbs you can still pop an active and get rid of the heart orbs. She is also an interesting leader pairing, since she gives 2 times recovery to all wood monsters. Robin is also an amazing sub for her. And if you wanna go the row route, the new Gaia ultimate is a solid farmable option, since she also gives you a useful shield ability.

So all in all this card is in my opinion a solid 9/10 and I won't regret getting this form!

By grace 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
The position she is in... my body only twists like that if I'm about to trip... and in her tripping form she's shooting arrows? Definitely a better archer than me...

I love Artemis and I'm glad she got an Awoken form, finally.

I'm a little sad that it is wood and water as activate. Why can't it be wood wood or wood water kind of like the 2nd angel series?
At the same time, I'm hesitant to trade her from her row form. I was half hoping that she would get rows and be devil so she could be on Astaroth team... since I don't have Michael but it looks like I'm going to have to find another alternative!

Here's my ideal team build...

Awoken Artemis
Pirate Sonia (if only I had you....)
Awoken Artemis

Awoken Artemis
Umisachi Yamasachi
Umisachi Yamasachi

Maybe a Skuld to trade out if needed.

They should have replaced the row enhance with something else. If someone wanted a row enhance out of Artemis, they would stick with the Moon Flower Huntress version of her. I would like it to be replaced by a TPA, but that would be pretty OP, so I would settle for another skill boost, skill bind resist, wood orb enhance, or even a water orb enhance.

Regardless, I've got all the materials ready to bring both my Artemis to this form whenever it gets to NA.

My team:
Awoken Bastet
Echidna (usually, hopefully will change with active skill swaps)
Liu Bei
Awoken Bastet

I think she's a viable lead and wish some of my friends would run her. Bard Robin is the obvious green sub, but by mixing in blue subs as well, you can make a strong team. I'm thinking:

A. Orochi, A. Freyja or A. Karin. A. Ceres for bind clear.

Summer Gonia would be perfect, but like most people I don't have her.

4/16/1 with a good amount of TPAs is quite strong.

Greco Awoken forms received just above average skill, leader skill and awakenings. I like the Roman series where they stand alone with different styles. Some stronger than others. No original thinking with this set.
By gintaman 4 years ago ( 8.7.0 )
Her skill should have been like Santa's and increase drop of the two orbs she needs. There's plenty of subs that'll flood the board with wood orbs...she didn't really need the extra skyfall rate.

edit: eh i take it back. She makes for a good sub. Just wish she had some more rows since that's where green teams seem to be going.

artemis is the very first god i ever got, and i feel honor- bound to awaken her. however, im disappointed that she doesn't get a move-boost. since im a kali-user, she wouldnt be too much of a sub...
By RedBaron 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Artemis was one of my first REM pulls when I started, my first uevo (light, balanced) and my first max-level card. I have great love for Artemis. Admittedly, when I saw that her awoken form was G/B my heart sank. It might just be me and my luck (or perhaps lack there of) with REM pulls, but I absolutely hate using blue guys.

Except for Umisachi and Yamasachi.

In fact, I have to say, I'm astonished that Umisachi and Yamasachi haven't come up in these comments until now. Granted, Artemis has always shined on that team, but an extra TPA coupled with better stats is a welcomed changed, and she maintains the 'anything-but-fire' attribute(s).

I have no real qualms with the active change other than the skill-level reset (bummer), her awakenings seem suitable, and her leader skill is so-so, but, historically, the Greek gods have laughably weak leaders. Her typing, while somewhat interesting, doesn't matter (to me) all that much, especially with U&Y, but she is still viable on wood-attacker teams. If you're so upset about her lack of wood-rows, just try and pull Australis :)
By Trolololol 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Gosh darn it, I hate to get all negative about one of my favorite goddesses in this game, but I think I found it. I've found one of the most disappointing awoken evolutions yet.
By now you've probably downvoted this comment since negativity doesn't fare well or because of my username or because you think I'm a pest and should make like an arrow and fly away from this site. But whatever, why exactly am I disappointed in this awoken evolution of Artemis, a goddess who I've found to have really breathtaking art in her other two ultimate evolutions?
First of all, this particular art of Awoken Artemis suffers from a similar problem to super ultimate Sakuya's art. There's way too many special effects going on and I can't really make out the whole picture. Artemis has been portrayed as a badass archer who doesn't mess around with her first ultimate and an incredibly serene and gentle figure bathing in her second ultimate. But what is this? I can't figure out what the heck is this even supposed to be. All the flashy anime effects severely block out my vision of her, especially the bow, and it just kills the art completely. So much potential all flushed away.
Second of all, I first thought that the increased wood skyfall chance for two turns added to her new skill would be better than just a one turn skill haste seen with the Awoken Chinese Goddesses (except for Sakuya) and Awoken Pandora. While that may be true for certain teams, if more than one Vishnu is on the team, the two turn wood skyfall chance is a lot less helpful. To be fair, if it's just one Vishnu (or zero Vishnus), then it becomes pretty useful, but otherwise, I never thought I'd say this, but the one turn skill haste might be a better alternative.
Third, what the heck is up with that leader skill? Why wood and WATER of all things? Trying to use her leader skill grants you with HP overdose with abyssmal recovery and an incredbily awkward match of orbs to clear. If this was wood and wood, it would rile up the nuclear wood TPA all over again, but when it's wood and WATER, it just doesn't work very well when there aren't many good wood monsters to bring in the water.
Fourth, this is attacker/devil with two TPAs and one row. Putting aside my general distaste for wood attackers and wood devils, this just lumps her into the green TPA category of Green Zhuge Liang, Awoken Meimei, Vishnu, Liu Bei, Ruel, Awoken Bastet, and Green Valkyrie. This could have been a great addition to the wood row teams with leaders like Awoken Astaroth and Green Valkyrie, seeing how converting two orb types into one typically gives a sky-high amount of that one orb type. Maybe it's just me and my personal taste, but I think we've had enough Green TPA monsters by now.
If you didn't like what I had to say and just downvoted before you even got here, I'd like to hear from you what would Awoken Artemis be really good for. At the end of the day though, this is easily the most disappointing Awoken evolution for me. Pandora, you have been dethroned.
Oh, and this requires Gaia.
FFFFFFFF-oh right, Gaia is way easier to obtain now, but still! Awoken Hades and Awoken Frejya wasn't enough? The only thing that could make this worse is if it required her ultimate form instead.
Guest 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
One-Opinion, meh.

Two-Duh, it's not as good. Haste is the second most broken active in the game. Only thing that beats it is orbchanging. As for the second part of this point, why would you run two Vishnu if you have this?

Three-They didn't want to make her completely better than Sylvie. Also, you shouldn't run double Artemis. Run Artemis/Freyja. As for getting Water, the only real problem is the lack of a reliable(ie Tricolor) board-changer. As long as you're clearing the board each turn you'll normally get the 3 orbs you need and it only prevents you from using Sasuke and Perseus. Even then, with the 2/2.5 HP/RCV, she can easily stall until you do get them most of the time. Bring a Marine Rider if you need to guarantee a floor.

Four-Attacker/Devil lets her fit with every relevant Wood team. I don't see any reason to complain about it. You also seem to be leaving out her OE. Even with this Artemis on the team, the standard Astaroth team has over 10 rows, at which point OE becomes roughly equal due to the diminishing returns.

If you're going to type out a wall of text, at least try to format it so that its more readable. The community might downvote everything under the sun, but don't give them more fuel to fire at you with.

Anyways, onwards to Awoken Artemis:
Since you're matching Wood/ Water, you obviously shouldn't only have Wood main element subs. UY, Isis, Orochi and Skuld are amazing subs. And there's plenty of Wood TPA subs to round out the team.

Your point about Vishnu is moot, since you wouldn't be using two Vishnus if you're using Awoken Artemis on the team as well.

Regarding rows vs tpa, her Wood/ Dark version has 3 rows. And people were complaining that she didn't get TPAs instead. Now she got TPA's and you are complaining that she didn't get rows. Cue facepalm emote.

Why are people still complaining about evo materials for the Awoken forms? "I want a powerful monster, but I don't want to work for it."

(Not directed at you in particular)
Actually scratch that, why are people still complaining about the skill change on Awoken forms? Every single Awoken form has had their active skill changed. You'd think people would learn by now.
Nigel in reply to Guest 4 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
I would say run Artemis/Skuld is another viable option if you have the subs for it. It would get you the same approximate multiplier but be more in line with the TPA orientations that A. Artemis seems to be going for.

Don't forget you want both green and blue orbs to be matched teach turn so being slightly off color doesn't hurt as long as they are at least green subtype.

Also most of the good B/G or G/B orb changers seem to be TPA based (Skuld, U&Y, B/G Karin, G/B Sonia, Marine Rider and Starling). The biggest drawback of running Skuld as an ally leader would be lack of an ideal spike (Hrungir could work for B/G but the team wouldn't have much in the way of orb enhances to capitalize on him) so nuking bosses could be hard.
