I don't know if the active ramp is multiplicative or additive. Let's just assume it's additive and not completely broken.

Carat herself has 2 skill boosts. This means that her active has a minimum buff of 1.6x. Assuming she's being put on a fully evolved team, you can definitely expect to see plenty of skill boosts to buff her active even further. Consider the following build

-Blonia - 2 sb
-Blodin - 3 sb
-Hermes - 2 sb
-Carat - 2 sb

Using either an Andromeda leader or some other inclusive blue leader (let's be safe an assume +1 sb, +1 sb for friend)
-Carat's active with produce a ~4x multiplier
-Full skill bind resistance (assuming the leader has one)
-Bind clearing from Carat herself
-Blonia will be up either immediately or in one turn, Carat will be up in 2-3
This vastly exceeds I&I's active multiplier, albeit at the expense of 2 rows and 2 tpas, while also providing a consistent bind clearer. Subs have more than enough rows to hit hard (even without I&I's contribution), and the spike is unimaginable.
You can flex the team for leaders like Lakshmi as well; Carat won't hit as hard (~3x), but the general idea is the same.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love to use obscure leaders, and this Gemstone Princess seems to be the most viable when it comes to leading. A 9x multiplier may seem small, but Carat's RCV boost on top of Blue monster's naturally high HP make for a bulky team akin to a less extreme version of I&I x Ryune. And, similar to I&I x Ryune, you can stack your subs to include some very hard hitters to make up for your small multiplier.

Scheat - hits like a truck and has a nice active, but contributes little else

Awoken Orochi - Similar to Scheat, contributes a bit more in terms of awakenings and less in terms of an active

Blodin - stat stick with awakenings that support any number of builds (tpas vs rows)

Andromeda - lacks skill boosts, but makes up for it everywhere else

Blonia - long active cooldown in exchange for a great active, beautiful awakenings, and stats to die for

Skuld - Full board converter, hits pretty hard and synergizes well with other blue monsters

Hermes - 2 skill boosts, rows, and an active that blue teams can abuse to throw out big numbers

Ryune - a strictly offensive sub who makes up for her lack of skill boosts with a killer active and awakenings all across the offensive spectrum

Karin - row oriented with 2 skill boosts and a relatively fast board conversion. Stack them on your team for the awakenings and the momentum-creating active

Gabriel - a great blue row monster, albeit lacking high stats and skill boosts

Famiel - Hits hard, synergizes well with Gabriel and other converters, but the active is pretty up in the air with how useful it can be

UmaYama - a strong orb converter with nice stats, but only 1 skill boost

Reine - same as UmaYama, albeit a bit faster

I'm probably missing a bunch of decent subs, but you get the idea. Carat's RCV buff let's her stall for actives, including her own, and devastate the opponent when an opportunity to use her own active becomes available. Consider the above team with a slight variation:

~27000 HP, 9400 RCV, 12 skill boosts (Carat Active: 4.6x!!!), 11 rows, and one hella cute leader! Assuming you've popped Carat and you've matched a single row, that's an 87x multipler!
Compare that to Ryune x I&I (for damage purposes), who, off of the same subs and I&I's active, hit for about 53x.
Feel free to switch subs around, calculations may change accordingly (and if I've made an error, please tell me so I can correct it).

Now, I'm not saying she's the best leader out there, or that she outclasses I&I x Ryune or anyone else. However, this little lady is a lot stronger than people may be giving her credit for, and I hope people give her a chance when she comes out.

I suppose I can see the confusion. If she gets that boost for 10 straight turns, then that's also pretty handy. The only reason I would think otherwise is because Silk, the red gemstone, has a smaller multiplier for a more common awakening. So I would say it's a single turn hit, otherwise Silk would be at an unfair disadvantage.
McSizzles 3 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
When I read the active skill I thought it meant you get a 1.3x attack for an x number of turns where x is the number of skill boosts. So 10 skill boosts would result in a 1.3x attack boost for 10 turns. Am I wrong?? Because i feel like it could be WAY too OP if you get like a 15x attack boost for a turn. Please help me to understand this!

Ahh okay! That makes sense, I didn't even look at the other ones in the series, oops. Thanks for clarifying!

Gave me a good laugh. Was not expecting this.

For those confused how the math works out, the skill can be reworded as "Increases attack by 30% for every Skill Boost Awakening on the team."
Kurii 3 years ago ( 9.2.1 )
It's worded terribly. The math is 1 + 0.3 * SB.

9 SB means 1 + .03 * 9 = 3.7x for the entire team.

Seems like a good blue Awoken Ra sub. Most blue subs for ARa are lackluster, but she gives you: a skill that won't bone your combo, an unbindable bind clear, and the possibility of something in the neighborhood of 1100x damage if you need it. Her base stats aren't shameful either.

AIsis is still miles ahead, and covers green.

If I ever get her, would I be able to skill trnasfer her AS to my rodin? My rodin team currently has 13 skill boosts I guess that would be a pretty significant att boost for 1 turn?

I got two of these in a row o.O I actually jumped and almost broke my phone.

Now I know a lot of people are complaining about this card because it's not the best as it's only a 6*, it's base stats are bad compared to other subs, etc etc.

See here, there's this amazing thing called Assists, and this is when Carat becomes one of the most sought after pulls from an REM.

Not only does this card make farming ez-pz, but it has many other uses as well. Do you need to kill a boss, but end up only hitting slightly more than 1/4th of its health? Using this on the right team will result in a kill of that boss. That's how I see it.

Another overlooked aspect is that Carat doesn't have to be placed on a monoblue team. Inherits on a Liu Bei farming team would work perfectly well because of the large number of Skill Boosts.

Overall, Carat is a very very broken card due to the high multiplier that can be achieved from so many teams she's put on. (Plus it's not color specific. It's not color specific. IT IS NOT COLOR SPECIFIC!!!)

Ok, so I've had this card sitting in my box collecting dust, while using awoken I&I to boost damage. My current blue team has 13 skill boost and after reading a few comments here I decided to give carat a shot. My Max damage (now mind you I am consuming 4 active skills to do this) with a full board of enhanced water and 19 row enhance, jumped from 78mil to over 178mil just from blodin. It's a very tricky thing to pull off and it does no good when there's a combo gaurd up, but has anyone had similar success with this?

So my question is,would her active work as an assist skill? I was thinking to put her in my hypermax Sarasvati team currently being:

-Sarasvati(no assist)
-Scheat(sometimes switching between her and Karin)
-Ryune(having another Ryune as assist)
-Andromeda(no assist)
-Blonia(no assist)
-Sarasvati (depends)

In this team there's a total of 11 skills boost,if i understood how her active works correctly, that should be quite an addition to the massive damage that sarasvati already does. Right?

Nothing about this caught my eye until I saw that AS, depending on the team that can easily turn deadly
Phlynch in reply to Clefspeare 3 years ago ( 9.2.1 )
Who says she has to be the leader?
Freddy in reply to Clefspeare 3 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
I don't agree. With blue odin, psycho hermes, blue sonia and now the blue demon lord amon on the team, you're in for a lot of rampage!
Clefspeare 3 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Water has a hard time gathering skill boosts, though. That was probably one of the worst awoken skills they could've designated for the buff, as far as I know.
