This guy could lead a DISGUSTING red TPA phys/attacker team. With 2 TPAs already on the two kenshiro leads, lets see what subs we can use around him.
Physical/Attackers - with TPAs

Rozuel (R/B) - Possible 3 TPAs if her evolution follows the other angels
Awoken Hino (R/D) - 3 TPAs
Rvalk - 2 TPAs
R/G Set - 3TPAs
R/G Cao Cao - 2 TPAs
Riders - (Valen would be great to make up for some RCV - not to mention the awesome active) - 2TPAs
Misato AAA - 2TPAs
Freyr, Shiva,etc.
Notice that you can build a mono-red, all ATT phys/attacker team, with an average of 2-3 TPAs each - that's insane.
For red physical/attacker stat sticks and utility, the list is LONG: Rodin, Awoken Leilan, Ame, Nim (1 tpa!), Urd, etc.

The 2.25 RCV also more than makes up for RCV shortcomings that would occur, giving a pretty all around team - maybe not one that can be arena, but an insanely good mono Red, phys/attacker team nonetheless.
Long story short, while Blue has moved away from physical lately and green has moved away from balanced, the number of great phys/attacker subs that can be used with this guy are just insane.

While Awoken horus is an amazing card, his Devil/God subtyping is NOWHERE near as good as Kenshiro's phys/attacker - not to mention the superior ATK multiplayer AND rcv boost offered . I'm going to be saving my stones forever for this guy. Oh yeah, did I mention the ~45x multiplyer? This guy will literally be outputting more damage than A. yomi and A. sakuya just given the freedom of subs he has.

You're finally in PADX! Look at this guy, he's freaking amazing!

His ultimate's Leader Skill is now stronger than Vegito's!

• 1.5x ATK and RCV multiplier as compared to 1.25x ATK and RCV multiplier
• Affects Physical and Attacker types as compared to only affecting Dragon type
• 4.5x potential ATK multiplier as compared to only 4x potential ATK multiplier (but safer).

Too bad his Active doesn't get buffed with either a lower cooldown, added Haste, or something else. I guess it would've been too much since he already has a Defense Reduction and a crazy Time-Extend skill.

I think he's far more similar to Awoken Horus. I made a comment about that, and it's actually incredible that this guy is so similar to Awoken Horus. Some may even consider him better than an Awoken God!

That's what puts them up to par, I guess. But for me, at least, the part where Kenshiro boosts Attacker and Physical types, and the 1.5x boost as compared to the Dragon typing only and 1.25x boost kinda tips the scale for me lol.

In the end, though, Vegito *should* be stronger, since he has a bigger fanbase, and has "special" evo materials required hahaha

Awoken Susano may be a staple sub in my team! Couldn't resist mentioning him in my other post lol.

Now that you mention it, I was actually supposed to post another team build that is Dark-heavy, but I wasn't prepared to post yet lol

Anyway, it goes something like...

Kenshiro
Awoken Yomi
D/B Okuninushi
Satsuki (removes Water orbs but I love her so whatever)
D/F Batman

Beach Claire would work wonders here, but I don't have her lol.
Gryps Rider would be a safe alternative to Satsuki
Also waiting for Awoken Loki...not that I have him or anything

I know man! I was only comparing Leader Skills, as I said in my post. Vegito is arguably a much better card due to his stats, awakenings, and active skill lol.

nathan@N17 in reply to Greg! 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
And vegito can use hearts, which is a huge bonus
-3
nathan@N17 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Not sure i would compare him to vegito, who has a better skill and awakenings by far

There are some interesting options for ken that people haven't mentioned yet. Like awoken susano, awoken orochi, awoken ama, awoken yomi (i know she is off but for those people worried about lack of time and she does fill two spots most people could struggle with), attacker okuni, Light fagan (i know, i know, just mentioning), the light and dark golems, School Athena and regular Athena and diza

The fact that a collab monster with easier evolution requirements has such a similar leader skill to Awoken Horus (I am certain there will be an endless debate over which is better) amazes me. And they're both fire main attribute. Even their awoken skills are incredibly similar! Plus, the extra TPA on this monster is arguably better than the 2 enhanced fire orb awakenings of Awoken Horus, although Horus does have the extra skill lock resist. The types and active skills are very different though, as are the stats. This guy actually has a higher weighted stat, with much more being focused on attack (500 more attack) and HP (Over 800 more HP), which is potentially a better choice for spike damage leaders. But hey, we'll have to see what the arguments are.

This all makes me wonder if there's any chance Awoken Horus may get some sort of buff to his leader skill (besides the 1.5x ATK for using an active skill applying to all monsters), both to make these monsters more different and to make sure an Awoken REM god isn't overshadowed by an ultimate evolution of a collab REM monster.

Personally I think Awoken Horus is definitely better, but I'm saying that there will definitely be some people who think differently. And I do have Dkali, so dark hasn't ever been a problem for me, which is why I didn't realize that would be a problem! Thanks for that!
Overall, I'm more bothered by how similar they are than which is better. It just seems odd how close to each other they are.

I'm not really sure how you get he is better or considered close to awoken horus. Even with the recovery boost, ken teams are still going to be lacking in that area, and most attackers have low hp. Not to mention horus provides the hard to get synergy of dark sub attribute for the team (though both will have dkali if the person has her). But I'm not that surprised that a collab gold card is this good, people wouldn't whale for them otherwise. I'm glad i got him the first time it came, though the lack of ruoh or that new light girl is poking at my interest

Team Build:
Leader: Kenshiro

Sub: Phoenix Rider---though stats are on the low side, he makes up for it in water coverage, great awakenings and amazing active; benefits from attacker boost

Sub: Red Valk---great card in general, high rcv, great awakenings, good active for generating fire orbs but not disrupting leader skill activation; benefits from attacker boost

Sub: Dkali---even though kali doesn't benefit from the attacker boost, she makes up for it by having monster stats, greatest full board change for color leads, amazing awakenings, dark coverage

Sub: Green Zhuge---he is a very strong counter against water monsters such as permafrost hera, since his active gives the team even more power and he himself has 2 two prongs and is main wood type, benefits from attacker boost, wood and dark coverage

Friend Lead: Kenshiro

Overall Awakenings:
10 Skill Boosts (leaves 5 turns until kenshiro's active is up, when max skilled of course)
5 Anti-skill Binds (100%)
2 Seconds of Time Extend (not as much as one would like, but it's decent)
1 Bind Recovery (from dkali)
And a sh*t ton of prongs

Team build.
Kenshiro

Phoenix rider
Pretty op active imo skill bind resist too. pretty good stats since above average rcv.

rodin/Dizanami
stat stick or infinite defense with phoenix rider

awoken freyr
stat boost plus double skill bind resist.

Set/awoken amaterasu
Heart breaker covers grass, would be 123219619 x better if fast skill
Amaterasu also covers grass and gives a lot more rcv.

Has 100% skill bind resist and pretty adaptable.

Posted my potential Kenshiro team in the news article:

Kenshiro
Awoken Shiva - Stat stick, amazing Awakenings, Orb and Heart Enhance + Defense Break, overall Awesome
Awoken Freyr - Covers Water element, amazing Awakenings, burst for bosses
D/F Batman - Covers Dark element, nice Delay, unbindable, high HP to complement RCV multiplier from leaders
Dino Rider, Wild Drake - Covers Wood element, high ATK, double TPA, nice, quick, and safe orb change

Other Wood subs:
Awoken Bastet - Covers Wood element, nice Time-Extend, nice Active at a low cooldown, poison resist, but doesn't get the 1.5x ATK and RCV
OR
Awoken Susano - Covers Wood element, double TPA, very nice 50% Damage Reduction, unbindable, Haste
OR
Ultimate Set - Covers Wood element, Triple TPA, nice and safe Heartbreaker (though high CD)

It's unsafe to bring orb changers, as this narrows down your maximum multiplier to only 36x. This varies, of course, as having craploads of Fire orbs but only a 36x multiplier might be able to beat a 45.56x multiplier with only one or two Fire combos. Hence, Ultimate Set is a nice sub since he only changes Heart orbs, but at the risk of being at a high CD.

With this being said, It may be safe to bring Awoken Hinokagutsuchi and/or F/W Cao Cao for extra firepower, but at the risk of losing that potential 45.56x multiplier due to their Water-breaking Active Skills.

I'm quite sad that my whole board changers such as Kiriko and Summer Urd (to cover Water orbs) aren't viable subs :(

Their sub-attribute gets buffed, yeah, but not their main attribute. Go test it in Endless Corridors if you don't believe me.

i was thinking the following:
Kenshiro
Awoken Freyr
Awoken Shiva
Ult Set
Dkali
Kenshiro

What's haste?
Just wondering because I plan to get Awoken Susano soon.
EDIT: Never mind. In case anyone else is confused, it's when one skill reduces the remaining cooldown of other skills. Kind of like Shiva Dragon.

Yeah I know, but all my subs in the team I posted are Fire Attribute. Even Fire Sub-Attribute subs get affected.

I wouldn't put in Zhuge Liang in this team simply because he defeats the purpose of my Fire-heavy rainbow team. Awoken Freyr is a MUST for these types of teams.

Greg! in reply to Halcon 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Holy poop I didn't know that. Just tested it out with screenshots, and it's true.

It's a good thing my initial team is Fire main-attribute lol. That means losing the sub-type burst, but Awoken Freyr is just too darn good a sub for Kenshiro not to include. I'll definitely try including GZL if I'm really lacking on firepower (no pun intended), but as of now, I don't think I'll badly need him. Thanks for the heads up, though! It was very informative lol

Halcon 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Keep in mind that unlike color-boosting leader skills (e.g. Norns), which boost all damage from monsters of that color, color-boosting actives (e.g. Freyr) only boost *damage* of that color. Due to this, it's not ideal to use them on rainbow teams - even ones that are focused on a single color.

I was thinking:

RValk - Fast orb change, supplies a massive amount of RCV after LS bonus.
Valen - Damage reduction, covers blue.
GZL - Spike for bosses, covers dark and green.
DKali - Won't contribute much damage unfortunately, but she's still the best full-board change available for the team, and a great awakening stick. LKali is not as good due to lack of RValk combo potential.

100% SBR, 8 fire prongs, 10 skill boosts, and an emergency bind clear.

edit: Haha, this exact team was already posted, and with more detail. Well, at least that means I can't be completely off-base.

This guy is the ideal sub for any burst team. Reduce enemies def by 0 AND 7 sec to move orb? On top of that he has stats that rivals that of an odin. The only negative thing I have to say about this card is his low rcv. I wouldn't mind lowering his hp and attack and get more rcv. Other than that this card is perfect. 9/10

If he was perfect wouldn't he be 10/10? 9/10 suggests at least one flaw (●_●)

Not sure why people are not thinking of set with his 3pa and enhanced orbs or nim....but ken, set, nim/valen, dklai (she honestly doesn't need the extra boost). Leave the last spot for whatever you want, most notably rvalk. But people shouldn't be scared to use things that take away a color, she you won't get the maximum boost but the extra fire orbs will more than make up for it (especially if you tpa). So things like F/L ares, hino, misato would do just fine. Ares only has one tpa but you use what you have right. Notable mention, the free chocobo. Offers a good board but less than ideal of dkali. Levi from AoT would also be a decent board changer
1
Reverb 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
I'd probably use Valen over Nim, since a team with this high of a multiplier really doesn't need more damage buffers
0
Guest 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Set's active has too long of a cooldown, even when max skilled. That is why no one wants to use him. Red valk is notably better due to high rcv, 5 turn orb change, and the fact that kenshiro himself can deal more than enough damage to kill 99% of bosses easily. Nim is rarely used due to having stats on the low side, and the fact that green zhuge still outclasses nim because of color coverage and having main wood type to deal with water monsters. Also, green zhuge hits like a truck. A good water sub for kenshiro would be phoenix rider. Despite having low stats like nim, his active completely makes up for it, since he allows high survivability unlike nim, who lacks good stats and an active or awakenings to make up for low stats. Subs like ares and hino are not fine at all, they remove colors necessary to deal optimal damage, which is crucial when dealing with high hp bosses, especially permafrost hera.

nathan@N17 in reply to Guest 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
I think something you players need to learn with things like horus and kens LS is you do not need be scared to take aeay one color to set up that 3 or 4 tpa. I can clear almost anything with my horus and i have valen and cao cao on the team and they don't even get that extra boost, let alone not using water orbs all the time. Say what you want, downvote me all you want. But watch these Japanese players you guys idolize, they do it too.....and about nim and her stats, the team will already have great hp so that makes up for hers and she actually brings in good recovery and decent attack
