You know who is crying tears of joy?

Summer Urd.

When I was a noob I thought a full blue board was pretty cool... Then I realized that matching rows or TPAs (and making 4-7 combo instead of just 1) does a LOT more damage

How would Summurd be a good sub for him? The active skill is on point but she isn't physical so wouldn't get his 4.5x multiplier
0
murf in reply to Nigel 2 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Summurd is definitely physical unless you evo her.

Wroclai 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
She's way more legitimate with this guy on the team. Also, reciprocal since she's an amazing sub for him too.

FlyingKing 2 years ago ( 8.4.1 )
I think he's better for Christmas Ars Paulina actually. But he works for Summer Urd too. If you combine his skill with Berry Dragon/Siren/Ult. Shardra, then pop Water/Fire Siegfried, you can turn the whole board blue :)

Okay, time to see who the physicals are who add to Mori's water row shenanigans...

ONE ROW:
--Dosubagyi & Bagyineko (Japan-only; #859)
--AB Dashing Wingman
--Serpent God Demon, Viper Orochi
--Endless Blue Dragon Caller, Sonia
--Devil of the Depths, Kraken
--Ethereal Guardian Seiryuu, Karin
--Awoken Lakshmi
--Murasaki Toge no Shimo Ryū Tei, Ilsix (Japan-only for now; #2277)
--Awoken Orochi

TWO ROWS:
--Shining Ice Leviathan
--Ultimate Dragoon (Japan-only)
--Water Twin Star Leviathan
--Kakusei Himegami Odin & Odin Neko (Japan-only; #1199)
--Chivalrous Demon Lord, Amon
--Inori-ko no Yume, Tidus (Japan-only; #2042)
--Kōsō no Seibotto, Herakodin (Japan-only for now; #2218)

THREE ROWS:
--War Deity of the Magic Spear, Odin

Hmmm...Not much in the water/fire department, aside from Dashing Wingman. On the other hand, unlike Ishida, there's quite a few two-row options, at least if you're in Japan. (Yes, I'm aware the Sengoku personalities are currently Japan-bound...) {scowls} Actually, putting aside the Japan-only collaboratives, there's only three two-row physicals--and two of them are evolved from the same base. At the very least, I'd definitely include War Odin and Amon in a Mori team, even if Amon's active conflicts with Mori's sub-attribute. If Blizzard Breath doesn't overwrite the skill bonus from Mori's leader skill, also look to one of the physical Leviathans.

Here's an interesting synergy:
Use this guy as a sub together with Megalodran. They're both blue and physical, which gives you a lot of potential leaders, and when this guy changes the board to water+fire Megalodran can convert the fire to heal. Result: half water, half heal. That's especially good for a Lakshmi leader, but physical teams almost always can use a strong healing combination.

I mentioned earlier, if you have an Ars Paulina/Christmas Paulina lead and activate Siegfried's active, you can turn the whole board blue. Activate Paulina, powered up blue board. Wash away all your Zeus Vulcan woes!

2 row enhence and 3 orb change are definitively made for the last blue nuke, so Skuld is a lot happier than any red card. But I agree that if it was TPA instead of row enhence, urd would be happy too.

...i don't know why you guys give he such a low rate...
he is a key member for Neptune Dragon, half board fill with water orbs and 2 turn hastes and has 2 rows. And as for leader skill, it's not a good leader skill, and no one wants to use him as a leader anyway.

So i still feel like a newb even tho im around 150 so can someone give me suggestions on this team?

Urd
Mori
Harley Quinn
Mitsuki
Rozuel

I feel like i should replace mitsuki with something since shes pure red, but i like the idea of having all those hearts ready, and it doesnt get rid of red or blue.

Destro 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
This is a ok team for Legend level but you will have trouble with contents above that. It doesn't have enough tpa or rows. Either row or tpa will work but you have to choose one and keep stacking it. For Urd tpa is better because it already comes with 2 from your team leaders.

Is it worth putting super Gunma on the team just to ensure that uncondition x36 each turn?
0
Cookie 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
For your information, that's a constant 1.5x HP multiplier, not a 1.5x ATK multiplier. So it wouldn't be 36x, it would only be 16x damage whenever you activate a skill.

Knowing that Gunma isn't physical, it wouldn't be the best choice to make to put him on the team. There should be better subs out there to choose from if you were to use him as leader, but I don't think there are many subs to choose from knowing that most, if not all, come from the REM itself.

EDIT: He probably gets his shine in the spotlight when he's put as a sub into a team. His orb changer is just like the Sonias, but with 2 turn haste. That being said, the Sonias' skills did get buffed to a 12? turn cooldown, but the haste from this guy makes your whole team ready to burst anything in your path. Plus, he's got two rows. The Sonias don't have two, they have one of their color and a dark row.

Team:
Motonari Blodin Blodin A.I&I Gunma Motonari
Constant 16x ATK. with 1.75x HP. Motonari bring Blonia like active skill with haste, Blodins provide a bunch of rows, A.I&I brings ATKx2 and haste, and Gunma makes leader constantly active.

larvi in reply to Red 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
nut would be a way way better choice than gunma
1
Grey Shirt in reply to larvi 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Nut would fit better if LS wasn't contingent on skill usage. Gunma can pop off every turn, kinda useful for having a constant 16x. Not having to wait 4 turns can make the difference.

El Rayo in reply to Grey Shirt 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
But at what cost? A card with crappy stats and no team synergy? Yea, you guys are nuts to run gunma over Nut.

Destro 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Omega Blue Skydragon, Nirai Kanai - 2 turn maxed skill and easily farmed

Red 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Gunma please come back
0
El Rayo in reply to Red 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Gunma is nice because it's farmable, but honeslty it's all about Kerokerokeroppi and Plesio!! Maxed skilled gives him a 3 turn CD which would be amazing for this build. Just my thoughts :) I also use princess valkiity without gunma and have beaten devil rush, dragon rush, high level challenges, and numerous descends. Gunma isn't crucial.

larvi in reply to Grey Shirt 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
max skilled nut has a 4 turn cooldown. the leaders alone provide a 2 turn haste each. add in things like cyberbeasts, sumire, etc and theres no need to waste a card slot on gunma

Just pulled this today guys! I'm excited :D I've no Blodin or Blonia, though, so it'll be rough for a while lol. Guess I'll sub him for Urd or Sara. Although 15 CD is a bit high for a Sara build. What ever the case, feel free to add if your need more allies. I'll be using this card a lot because I've loved blue physical since I first started playing PAD :)

It's odd that Mori took a backseat in my water team. Perhaps if/when he gets an awoken form, it will be different. But for now, I can't find a place for him on this team.

Awoken I&I
Sumire - haste / blue orbs / heal orbs / CD 7
Nut - 5 blue orbs, CD 4 (that CD 4 is huge)
DA Gabriel - 2k heal every turn, massive orb changer for light/dark to blue/heal, CD 8
Sun Quan - 2x healer attack for 2 turns, 2 turn delay, CD 13
Ryunn

Mori - blue/red board, CD 14

Even though it's an awesome red/blue board and a 2 turn haste, Mori just doesn't beat out Sumire, Nut, Gabriel, or Sun Quan...

The only reason I can think of Mori being better (at the moment) is in cases where there are type specific where God/Physical beats out Devil/Healer.

Thoughts?

edit - I take it back, I found a place for him, but only for one descend. Hell Demon (Scarlet). Mori over Nut in Scarlet is way better if only for the extra HP (because 6 star vs 7 star).

when I first pulled this card I was underwhelmed but once I had a vision of a team or teams that featured water / fire cards cards he is really useful.

My team which I call Urd believable consists of the following cards:

Reminiscent Norn, Urd (leader and friend hypermax of the same)

Red Ring Sorceress, Theurgia

Awoken Freyr

Peerless Strategist, Mori Motonari

Sightseeing Sorceress, Ars Paulina

All cards are max level / awoken. Still working on skill ups. This team is 100% skill bind resistant. I used this team to beat Sandalphon Mythical descended! First time I beat that dungeon and did it with zero stones used! I have also maxed leveled / skilled a Water/Fire Buster Siegfried to add to this team when needed. Strategy is to use the Urds as needed but save all other actives for the boss level floor. Change the entire board to water/fire, then enhance both water and fire orbs with Theurgia and Ars Paulina then add the 2x attack from Awoken Freyr. I try to make water rows and fire rows or two prongs. this deals pretty massive damage. It is hard to see all of the numbers but I see alot of one million plus totals across the board when I use this team as described above on a boss floor.

Overall a fun team for me to use.

Your wish has came true.
(Cough) Awoken SQ + Awoken Hermes, which is basically ghetto I&I/Ryune.
Oh, and throw in Merlin, Gabriel, and just maybe, Urd/Summurd.
0
Boromir in reply to Guest 2 years ago ( 9.0.3 )
How is it ghetto? Hermes does more damage without relying on an active skill to proc a ls attack boost.

An ideal candidate for skill transfer to Shiva Dragon. There is no chance you would need Shiva's skill over his since he also has a 2 turn haste AND he makes an incredible board. *sigh* I wish I had him!

I personally wouldn't want to wait 26 turns for this skill, but whatever floats your boat.

Here's a team that's been doing well for me of late:

Radiant God of Creation, Izanagi (maxed out)
Vigorous Hunt Gods, U&Y
Peerless Strategist, Mori Motonari
Armored Green Ice Knight, Muse
Vigorous Hunt Gods, U&Y

Friend is typically either a maxed out Ancestral Blue Dragon Caller Sonia or a maxed out Blodin. Sonia gives way better RCV, just get a 3-heart row and a 4-whatever else, and I'm back to full health. And all those TPAs mean easy damage bursts, for blue, green and yellow.

But Blue Odin gives me a hell of a nuke -- Muse (for 2.5x attack), then Motonari and one of the U&Y in that order to turn the whole board blue, then Blodin to enhance the whole board. Odin alone does over 3 million damage with that setup.

Trying to figure out if there's a way to optimize this build though, a better option I'm overlooking.

Tanga 3 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
So not true. His LS activates whenever you use a skill, and there are *so many* farmable blue and red short-cooldown physical monsters, like Titan Gigas and Siegfried. There are also a lot of easily-obtainable REM monsters.

Sample team:

2 x Peerless Strategist, Mori Motonari as leaders
1 x Drilling Shark Megalodran
1 x Earth-Rending Emperor, Siegfried
1 x Titan Gigas
1 x King Bubblie

Assuming that *only* the Drilling Shark, Titan Gigas and Siegfried are max-skilled (because they're very easy) you can hit for 16x damage 3/5 turns out of the box. With King Bubblie you can spike for 48x damage. RCV is low, but you have around 50,000 HP which will let you tank a lot of attacks. If you have a chance to delay then you can start activating Motonari's AS which will make your other subs' skills activate, and then you're hitting for 16x every single time.

Even better: there are lots of other subs or alternative leaders that would fit. Awoken Lakshmi, for instance, would give you 20x and 60x spike, as long as you weren't using a heartbreaker. Devil of the Depths, Kraken has a min cooldown of *4* and enhances water orbs. If used as a leader it would increase your HP to around 75K, at the cost of reducing your ATK.

I like Mori as a sub.

Urd (leader)
Mori
Mori
Awoken Freyr
utility sub or red/blue hard hitter, depending on dungeon
Urd or Shiva Dragon, depending how much HP I need (friend leader)

Freyr's active works really well with back-to-back Moris. Lots of damage and 5 turns of haste.

I almost have this team set up; I just need to awaken Freyr.

Yeah, forgot about the Physical part. Oh well, if I get him I have Physical Urd, so whatever. I'll still use Dashing Wingman, because his cooldown is low and he fits perfectly.

I used AB Dash on my Set build for a while. He's not too bad. Just wish I had max skilled him when the AB collab returned. Maybe it'll come back with the new movie. Movie looks cool lol.
