Ah, the mysterious and elusive element of beauty: gold.
Its luster draws near those who wish to acquire for themselves wealth and grandeur, while its ability to conduct electricity and resist corrosion attract those who wish to design supercomputers. Yet, gold has a third, esoteric property not yet known to man: the ability to energize. Great war machines made from elements as simple as the carbon found in the wood of the dense forests, the hydrogen extracted from the waters of the world's oceans, or the oxygen radiated from fires burning in active volcanoes, have been revitalized using as little as three drops of this yellow metal. These mechanical warriors have been struggling, waging fierce battles against each other over who is superior, but those battles have been nigh on futile as to establish the supreme combatant.

Hope seemed to be lost as to which race proved superior, but, as the tide of battle reached its zenith, three brave generals stood up in an effort to end the great battle: the fortuitous Viz Asgard of the Wooden warriors, the torrential Mar Midgard of the Water army, and the ferocious Elder Jotunn of the Fire nation. These three heads of the legions have come together in an attempt to settle the violent dispute of the warring golems. Now, these warriors reside in the farthest reaches of the land, welcoming into their respective lairs anyone daring enough to meet their criteria. For that mission, a vast quantity of gold is required, and only the bravest of dungeon explorers can acquire such wealth.

Now, two new mechanical beings have arisen; one dominates over the most shining of mountain peaks, the other commandeers the lowest of the dark valleys. I have wandered through the thickest of woods, the deepest of waters, and the highest of mountains in search of these two mythical machines. After finding out the exact requirements for encountering the two mighty legends, I uttered, in one breath, the only words that are able to describe the actions I am to undertake:

If you've got the capability to make a team for KoGs dungeon this is actually not hard, but certainly is time consuming as most Uevos are. Considering this and the dark golem are basically Horus + scholisis I'd say its worth it to build a team of tanks.

I have the dark one and the light one. Stupid golems kept dropping for me a few months before these guys came out. The Pal machine gave me 5 Golds during one event. Then one day my beelz/ronia team could finally farm Tuesdays and I fulfilled my quest for the rest of the golds. Now I have them both and they just sit in my box. Once I max awaken/skill them they will be great. I want to make a machine team, but I don't have enough machines. My Asuka is almost ready, but that's about it.

Yeah, I am really interested in seeing what other machine types get rolled out. Given the investment for the dark and light golem ults, I'm not sure if they're worth it at the moment.

As of 6/12/15, outside of Music Dragon (1916) and Cloud (2030), Machine types don't seem to have a lot of recovery, making the ult light golem leader skill kinda meh. And at the same time, the dark golem ult boosts Machine type's already impressive HP, but with such a low recovery you're sort of running a combo based satan team.

Now of course you don't have to run a full machine type team, but for a farmable lead, you need to be able to clear Gold Keeper 11 times. And usually that requires a team with a heavy REM investment. And personally, that is my biggest gripe with the game as it stands. What's the point of a farmable lead that is inferior to the team I need to get it?

Run a card with shower of healing skill. Like a dancing flame ,Amaterasu Ohkami . Bind resisting along with most mechs even though its not a mech type the other 5 mechs should have enough tank for 1 off suited sub with a full recovery skill. If you have a card with that skill.

Exceedingly, ferociously expensive as this long awaited uvo is, one shouldn't overlook the incredible possibilities for one who manages to acquire the necessary gold. Machines are still relatively rare and limited, the only thing to detract from Mk IV's ludicrous leader skill of (if you have a team of Machines) 5x for a DQXQ activation in addition to your choice of 25% extra HP and RCV or ~50% to one of the two.

That is incredibly powerful for any card, but especially so for a technically farmable one. By Gungho's good graces, Gold Keepers are one of the more reliable rare materials to obtain, so players willing to invest a lot of time and resources might want to look towards a Mk IV as an REM level farmable leader. :3

So at max skill he has a 20% shield that can be run perpetually from the two leaders, effectively a 1.25x to HP and RCV. So the team can run dungeons as a 1.25/25/1.95 team that also has a 75% defense break that's always on.

Sherospada is a fantastic sub. (1) HP and active can be enough to survive big preemptive hits like in Hera Rush. (2) Defense break for that annoying Extreme King Metal Dragon that appears in many of the harder dungeons. (3) Sparkleboard awakenings make some off-color orbs enhanced. This makes orb changing more powerful since even one enhanced orb in a match adds a significant multiplier to the damage calculation (assuming you have a few enhance awakenings of that color). (4) Poor RCV can be fixed somewhat with plus eggs.

That's why he's my favorite farmable sub right now. Totally worth 11 Gold Keepers. But I would trade 100 Gold Keepers to get a bind recovery awakening.

There's an error here, the 1.25x boosts are only for Machines. They're still remarkably powerful, though. ^_^

This is a completely farmable 16x lead. And everything but machines can get 25x. and we all know this is compared to kirin, u and y, lkal. In no way is he as strong as them. But if u dont have any good 25x (or above) leads, it is a very viable option. If u can farm tuesday mythical then there is no problem with this evo. It is a very strong lead.

TBH, with the new CyberBeasts, this guy would actually be a pretty niche-y lead. Although I think he would be best as a lesser shield as a wallbreaker on an Athena Team.

It took a lot of time, but I finally evolve this dude to the top. Max skilled! With my cyberbeast team, he is a good leader. I wish he could have a TPA so he could do better offensively with the rest of the team. This golem works well as a sub in many team, considering he has physical,machine and god type. It was worth it, even for the 11 KoG.

Honestly..great as a sub, the light wood is insane.. sadly though he lacks awakenings.. spent 11 goldkeepers for this guy and I'm still considering still using chocobo as my sub unless I'm doing king dungeons, but the least they could've done for using so many gold keepers was to add a orb time enhance or row unbind..

Put one of those, with the other one as friend leader, you already cover 4 colors, you can reduce def for 3 turns every ~5 turns and carry on swipe. Meaning it's always on, except preemptive protection.
Sub in anything, maybe a bubblie to cover the missing color and add a burst, you have already a fantastic non rem team

when facing kog use double gravity, then alternate echidna and the 2 white san (when's 1 turn left before taking a hit). kill him with hera and grodin when up.

Besides Raisin's fully correct answer (that is awesome), there are other Machines out there with a smidgen more RCV. Canopus has 179 & Hadar has 98 (they also have an auto heal awaken each). The upcoming Attack on Titan collab will introduce some more new Machines as well, who will hopefully have some RCV.

I'm going to put in a good word here for the golems. If using a machine team, he's an easy to activate x5 leader (can use hearts) who is unbindable. The other golems are also also unbindable at their ultimate form. With plus eggs or the addition of music dragon, you can get good mileage out of that RCV bonus. They have high HP which, if using two golems at least, will be enhanced by the damage reduction abilities.

Lastly, gold keepers aren't all that bad. After max skilling Sarasvati I spent 10 full days of stamina on one fight. (6-10 fights a day. 8x10x50 = 4000 stamina appropriately.

Plus, you get a ton of regular keepers and is way more stamina efficient than running their respective Dungeons.

Overall, really worth it IMO. If you have a good team for killing the gold keeper...

The downsides include lack of raw damage. Low attack coupled with few damage enhancements. :(

It's worth noting that just two of these max skilled is enough to keep his active running indefinitely, especially since they're each unbindable. That's a permanent 75% armor break and 20% damage reduction in addition to his fairly reliable 25x leader skill.

I can't say for certain, but there's a chance that this guy might become a lot more useful as better machine types are added to the game.

This guy is a great fit for Sakuya, Hathor, and Sonia Gran. Great hp / stats, great active, green color coverage, and provides 24%+ offensive bonus every turn via orb enhances, if you match and clear your board.
