The cool silent type, but when ever around Rinoa he's so shy. Brings back soo much memories of that dance with her. THE FEELS!!!

I made my profile to downvote this ..... The nerve of some people... And this is a good card because damage goes up with skill and planning #padlife

Ohhh midgetpool. I want so badly to school you on how to be a respectful person, but i feel like my 4 yr old son would recieve it much better. Good luck being successful in relationships with that approach. Also, ff8 was a great game imo trash talk all you want in that one bro.

Probably my second favorite. Loved playing as Chaos.

Is it just me or Squall+ Yamato in a Krishna team is an amazing combination?

Gotta love Squall's clothing,too bad I haven't played FFVIII yet. O:
ravenspire 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Squall himself is no slouch either: pair him up with Awoken Shiva and rake in the combos. Watch the numbers fly.

Renzokuken FTW.
ravenspire in reply to sh1zngiglz 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Well, I agree that pairing with Attackerasu does produce a more consistent damage multiplier even without chaining combos, she does have her drawbacks compared to A. Shiva:

- Attackerasu is Light-primary instead of Red-primary, and though certain builds do circumvent this somewhat (with board-changers like Leilan, Kiriko, Misato etc.), it would still be more prudent to run a Light-heavy build with Attackerasu.

- Stat and Awakening-wise, Attackerasu loses out to nearly every other department (except for RCV) to A. Shiva - Time Extends and TPAs anyone?

- Attackerasu has doesn't provide a stat buff to Red subs like A. Shiva does. Autoheal might be useful in certain situations, but blitzing the opposition proves to be a far better preventive strategy.

- A. Shiva's active (null defense + Red/Heart sparkle) pairs exceptionally well with Red board changers (e.g. Kiriko as mentioned earlier). Put a Red heartbreaker in there (Squall himself, or Gigas/Femme) and you've got yourself a nice Red sparkleboard. Attackerasu might be useful for bind recovery, but again, prevention is better than cure.

- More importantly, Attackerasu's ATK buff is directed towards ATTACKERS ONLY - A. Shiva does not discriminate, he asks only for the fires of war to burn bright.

Going off track, I do feel this build ties in nicely to Squall's background lore: of all the weapons he could've mastered, why choose the gunblade? Because its a challenge, and he welcomes it. In the same vein, why pair Squall with A. Shiva? Because its an exercise of skill, and the rewards in damage output (25.5x with a full Lionheart combo) are amazing when you do manage to pull it off. You might not get the full 17-hit combo, but a respectable 7-8 combo multiplier is still nothing to scoff at.

I might be wrong about certain aspects, though. Opinions are more than welcome.

ehhh awoken shiva would be nice but the flat x3 with attackeratsu would be better imo\
ed in reply to ravenspire 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Small correction, it s actually 38.25x with a. shiva and squall @17 combo not 25.5x.

(4.5)*(8.5)= 38.25

This only supports your argument further.

I wonder what his buff looks like in japan....
let me calculate, 1.5*1.5*8*8=144x? what... and if you activate a TPA its 216x for each monster with a single tpa....

edit: use the mass attack badge and he is a very good farming lead, for quick runs on the dungeons like dragon infestations, you can clear them very quickly!

oh, I don't main squall anymore, but hes very good now, I almost want to go back to him, whenever there is a dungeon that isn't good for my main, I switch to him

i really like squall, the only thing keeping me from taking him to the promised land is the lack of squall friends. team up?
By OmastarBC 5 years ago ( 7.5.1 )
Ars Nova sub all the way.
By El Rayo 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
This is a solid card. My Set build was in great need of a fire card with a light sub element. I've been running Awoken Ra as a stat stick. This card has nice awokens for a Set build, a nice time extend, and a sweet orb changing active with haste. Super solid sub. Can't wait to max skill him!
By Lance 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Ff 8 was one of my favorite the cut scenes in this game was epic at the time it came out. The card game was super fun. And lagoonas story was so funny. Great game.

His in game text is something along the lines of "Fire Atk x1.5, Atk increases with combos up to 8x".
Sound pretty strong until you check this page and find out it's at 17 freaking combos!
By Kusaro 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Good sub for Urd; fills out the light subattribute while retaining the attacker type and a relevant orb change skill, which only Fire Valk does better.
The fact that he's in a collab machine makes him (theoretically) an easier pull, too.
Cornykova 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Urd is r/b, she doesn't need light. You're probably thinking of Ars Nova.
Kusaro in reply to Cornykova 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
My point being for an all-attribute team.
Grey Shirt in reply to Kusaro 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Just pulled him and was thinking the same thing. I have Ares in my other account for that purpose (not to mention full board change with Urd), but I might actually get good use from him as a lead as hitting the combos necessary is not that difficult.

Rolled this guy...TWICE.

He's not bad, though! A nice 7-turn Heart and Jammer breaker with a much needed Haste. He's a good fit with the new ultimate Kenshiro, especially if you weren't blessed with Set. He also has TPA, Time Extend, and an Orb Enhance to maximize ultimate Kenshiro teams' damage potential.

I can also see him being used in Awoken Shiva teams, and Kiriko teams! Hopefully Kiriko gets some love by getting a badass ultimate with an awesome Leader Skill sometime in the future!
G Bird 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
I also rolled two. Should I keep both or should I sell one for monster points?

Is it possible to reach a 17 combo? If I'm having problems to reach 10 with Anubis,I can't imagine reaching 17!
Guest 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Bare minimum he will troll the crap out of tricolor dungeons. That's what I'm keeping mine for.
SirOsis>>s 4 years ago ( 8.7.0 )
It is...verrrry rare, but I've had 15-20 a few times on tri-colour levels. I remember them well because I was using Kushi as my lead and friend, and the amazing sound the matches make as they get tallied up is a beautiful sound you wish you could hear again and again. Not to mention the relatively massive resulting damage.

Why can't I roll you? Squall: "Gone talking to a wall"
By Boromir 4 years ago ( 9.2.1 )
Nice. Just got him from the free pull. Fun leader skill and a great sub for my Revo Horus fire squad.
By Fridgeboy 3 years ago ( 12.0.3 )
17 hits is how many times his ultimate weapon "Lion Heart" hits during his "Lion Heart" limit break, hence the 17 combos in his leader skill!!

Leader skill description is wrong. It's a weaker version of Kushinada. Max damage is x5 at 10 combos.
Hitch 5 years ago ( 7.5.1 )
Its not wrong, you are thinking of the leader skill of the un-evod version

cuz you stated it like a fact when its indeed a theory, not to mention you misspelled squall. shame on you!

some people likely disagree with the theory and believe he's still alive. I dont read into things like that however and don't think he died. I do believe the reason your post is down voted is that it is irrelevant.
Naming in reply to Jaymz 5 years ago ( 7.8.1 )
Haven't seen that one but I have seen a few of those game theory videos and they tend to base their entire arguments on nonsensical assumptions that they take as fact.
