As long as they don't have status guard, you can poison resolve users first, which is what I do for Kaguya.

No, with an absorb if damage is >200k, it wouldn't do a thing. Actually, it would (probably) heal the enemy to full no matter what HP it is at if you get a x400 multiplier.

Eventually, you notice that the sound that occurs when those multiple groups of four orb get matched is not the noticing of an TPA activating, but just the hopes of the knights being broken over and over. Especially about that green knight. Who was targeted even.

Not only was he targeted, but he had over a BILLION damage targeted at him from Awoken Kagu alone.

I don't think that green knight even existed. He just got erased from existence by the One True God and Hino Kagutsuchi.

I've tried taking on the Weekend Dungeon with Rukia as my Leader (no You Yu) and Muse's Active, but I'm still not able to reach ridiculous numbers like OP's. I'll keep trying, though!!

I remember the day I stepped into the warring world of Pad. I was young, green... innocent. I remember rolling Lucifer as my starting monster. I admired the dark power of his morning star, but felt it drained my soul to point that there was barely anything left. Time and time again, I would narrowly attain victory after nearly losing my life. The thrill of danger, of coming so close to the brink, of being so close to the other side the dead whisper your name in your ear, was recklessly... delicious. After slaughtering another Tamadra village, I had an awakening. A brief moment of clarity. Seeing the faces of those little angels as I plunged my morning star into them, feasting on their essence, growing in ever more dark power I realized what scourge my humanity became. I could not live like this anymore. I took a step back. I beseeched the DC Universe gods for new hope. In a flash of light I found... the Flash. Standing before me in Crimson glory, he extended his hand. I reached out and immediately sensed an incredible infinite mass power.

The Flash was a formidable ally, allowing me to build my strength with a team of strikers. My trust in the light grew as Flash and I roamed further into the warring world, overcoming conflict with skill and timing our strikes perfectly! My love of the light flourished when Cloud decided selflessly to leave his fantasy universe and aid Flash and I in our quest, even when it was never his problem. Together we conquered more foes with our 2-prongs of Fury. Wishing to descend into the depths of the most hellish gods, I invoked the Light for guidance. I was blessed with Amaterasu, and found sovereignty in her healing embrace as we defeated countless legendary deities. I basked in the glory of my team, admiring the coven I had with the Light. A dark past lit up by a gleaming present, heading towards a glowing future. I felt invincible, and more importantly... I felt at peace.

Then came the day I rolled Anubis.

There was an incredible unease emanating from him. Those abyssal eyes were hauntingly black as they gazed into my once dark soul, seeing a familiarity with himself. I glared back, feeling an immense power. His potential for destruction was mesmerizing. The chaos, If harnessed properly I thought, could rule the world... No... The universe.

"No!" I said to myself. "Not again"... The temptation of the dark side was insidious, but my faith in the light was strong. I couldn't bare to relapse into that tasteful power...

Soon after I became confident enough to delve into the mythical realms of the high gods. I fought honorably, but was met with defeat numerously. Feeling the urge to become stronger, I sojourned the lands once more. I met new foes, learned new strategies, but with each victory came a hollow satisfaction. I always felt the gods at my back, mocking the frailness of my human mortality. My fighters and I were strong indeed, but their power was easily measured, their limits easily capped. The gods knew I, a mere human with a team of semi-powerful holy warriors, could never achieve a power that would parallel theirs. Their brevity was truly insulting. Even with the guiding beacon of the Light, the hubris of the divines could not be phased. It was in their proud nature as supreme beings of the universe to know a mere mortal would never be a threat to their stature or their kingdom.
Or so they thought.

The whispers from the shadows grew louder and louder, their indoctrination even more convincing, more clear with each passing day. I feel my will slipping, loosening the grip of my mind. I am trying to hold on, to not give in. Even as he slumbers, I can feel the one true combo king Anubis call out to me. A part of me wishes to answer his calamitous page. I resist, but that part of me wanes as time passes, as the gods continue to mock me, as the whispers become more lucid.

I could not tolerate their celestial arrogance anymore! After a long period of dormancy, I summoned forth Anubis. In exchange for his might, I pledged fealty to the hell deity. I allowed Anubis into my world and allowed him to take me into his. We feasted on our fellow monsters. We grew stronger as we devoured those who unwaveringly served me for a long time. Insurmountable trust and bonding through hardship, forgotten in an instant as monster after monster was sacrificed to the deity. Anubis grew stronger, assumed his title "Deity of Hell" and beckoned forth fellow forces of dark. The jackal grew so powerful that Lucifer, my once great vassal of darkness, was not even of worthy of his consideration. When Anubis could eat no more, when he finally maxed his appetite for power and skill, he looked upward to the heavens. Disdain filled our hearts as we took to the skies, intent on meeting the gods once more in their holy kingdom.

"I've come for you Zeus. Not even death can save you from me". Anubis touted.

The God king himself could not avert his eyes. He sensed a grand wickedness from the mere mortal he once jeered from the heavens. When the battle commenced, I knew it would be over in an instant. Anubis was as tactically brilliant as he was powerful, guiding his team of dark forces and planning his moves 10 times ahead of Zeus's. When Zeus conjured the Dark Dimension in hopes of bannishing the Hell Deity Jackal, Anubis could barely hide his smirk.


Zeus, the God King of Thunder, the embodiment of the destructive power of the Light, in all his divine glory, was swept into the infinit void. My journey was complete. I achieved the impossible. The divine throne was finally conquered, once and for all. My greatest foe, defeated... and yet the overwhelming joy I was anticipating never came. I stood there, with a familiar hollow satisfaction I felt long ago. I gave into the dark side. In this quest across the warring world of Pad. I achieved my goal, but lost the battle for my humanity. I sacrificed everything and everyone in my vain quest for heavenly glory. Save for the newly crowned God of Heaven and Hell, there wasn't anyone to celebrate with. I was alone in the dark, I didn't know who I was anymore. Not knowing what or where comes next, I followed the one true combo king Anubis into obscurity, endlessly wandering aimlessly.

I yearn again to be that kid fighting shynees in the forest, but that is gone forever.

I'm disappointed in his active skill: Ra and for some odd reason Bastet gets time extension for using their skills, but Anubis counters more powerfully; even though the main purpose of Anubis is to go to 10 combo with 100x atk, not to consistently counter hits because you suck at matching orbs.

I agree but think about Anubis as a non-leader in a dark team. He is going to be a great dark orb maker w/ great awoken skills. Think about Horus' active skill. It's bad when he is a leader but it is useful when he is in a fire attacker team.

I agree with you, the skill doesn't have the same "wow" factor as the other awoken gods. Here is my thinking:

1. Counter attack? I agree with you Side, Anubis is the epitome of a spike lead and counter attacking is probably not going to save your life (or your stones) that frequently.

2. Wood orbs to dark? I think this is debatable, and also situational. You have to look at your board before deciding if this change is for better or worse. If you have 2 wood orbs and 4 dark, then yeah, go for it. If you have 3 dark and 2 wood, then meh, who cares. If you have 3 dark and 3 wood and they are lined up well and you are facing a water boss, then why mess it up? If you have 3 wood and 3 dark but they are crazy all over the place and you are facing a fire boss, well, pop it. It could go either way.

3. 8 MAX COOLDOWN? For a lead that activates with skill usage? This is the most disappointing to me. Yes you can max him out and probably have him up in 2-3 turns so that you can start going Chernobyl on everyone, but you will probably only get to use this skill once in the dungeon.

In the end, let's be real, the skill could help save your skin from time to time, but for this guy, his skill basically equates to "create dark orbs and 2x(or 4x with dual leads) attack".

I personally just rolled TOTG in the last player's choice, and have been debating which route to take, this or D/L. On the one hand, I can not consistently hit above 8 combos without good boards or good luck, so D/L is the safe option. On the other hand, I am an idiot and this guy has the potential to be MUCH more powerful. Plus the awakenings!

Edit - I will say this, if you are lucky/rich enough to have all the Awoken Egyptians, then the 4 of them as subs make a monstrous team. I have all except Isis (shortest cool down too!) and am thinking about making them a team... for blue I'm thinking Lakshmi or Blodin, or maybe Neptune for the overkill (2x devil, all Awoken Egyptians are devils...)

Did you not notice the bonus +.5 sec timer awoken, 1 second for dual leaders, which instead of only being on an active is just straight passive? I myself would love a stronger counter, it actually makes sense given that his active isn't meant to replace all subs you might have that might increase orb move time, he can already basically be his own team with the amount of dmg he can do, why would they want to make it so it doesn't even matter what team you have? Are you so spoiled you need to put no thought into building a team that has orb move timer increases?

This Anubis is very niche, but just wait until GungHo releases those bigger boards they were talking about -where a 12 combo is possible to guarantee - and then watch this guy eat everything up.

Outside of that though, his requirements are too high to use as a lead.
If he was used as a sub, it'd most likely be for a stat sick, or 1k autoheal. Not much else I can think of.
Does anybody else ideas on how best to use this guy?

I was just saying how 400HP isn't worth the LS change, even if the extra 2x is tacked on after a skill use. The bigger boards might prove to be interesting with him, but Idk the % increase of skyfall combos on a 42 orb board. Still prefer the easier 8 combo active tho

I completely agree with this. The activation requirement is just to much to worry about on the current board. I can't tell you how many times x16 from an 8 combo has saved me or worked out perfectly for the situation. Especially with more tech bosses coming out (Sonia Gran etc.) that you can't one shot.

It just seems niche in the current meta. I get the huge numbers, but I put those out just the same with x100 from a 10 combo. Guess what, everything still dies.

New active, also meh. It's almost straight troll.

Now dragon plant that just hit you for 1mil? It's dead from your 5mil counteratk

Pesky weaklings attacking you? Hit a one combo and watch those autoheals do work

Think you see a 3 combo? Pop an active and get a sweet 4x damage boost

Some techniques on how to move orbs, remember that always use your toes not your fingers! you only use fingers if your tongue didn't work. And never "chicken out" on a tough battle unless you are a dude...

I love this artwork. I can actually tell what it is. I think Gungho doesn't realize that sometimes less is more when it comes down to art. I sometimes have to stare at a monster's art to find were their actual body parts are. With this I can enjoy the art without my eyes playing tricks on me.

At first I was unsure if I liked this uvo, but I realized that with the 2x attack for active skill, he is much more powerful than his previous evolutions.
400x attack might be a little bit overkill, but I'm curious to see how much damage people can do with him... Imagine Awoken Kagutsuchi's 3 TPAs in addition to 400x attack and King Bubblie for another 3x attack... That's 1200x attack along with 3.375x attack for TPAs.

I was thinking about the new Monster Point System and Latent Awakening System and this came to mind.
Awoken Anubis with 5 Latent Time Extends
Water PADZ Dragon with 5 more Water Resists
Fire PADZ Dragon with 5 more Fire Resists
Wood PADZ Dragon with 5 more Wood Resists
Light PADZ Dragon with 5 more Light Resists
Awoken Anubis with 5 Time Extends

Their own Actives boost each other minus Anubis, but that's still pretty good. The Damage Resists let you resist 30% of everything except Dark, and each of the Dragons have over 2300 attack when max leveled with +297. They also break 3000 hp which will add to the tank factor and you can just keep attempting to pull off your combos. You can try it if you want. I mean, it's just an idea. I'll probably get downvoted like always. But whatever.

The should make the counters reflect damage back BEFORE any reduction.
Two Godins as lead and friend. It provides a total reduction of 96% on first hit.
As an example that is very unlikely to happen I'll use Awoken Hades from Zeus & Hera Descend Mythical

Awoken Hades dealing damage will do:
Before reduction: 444 440
After reduction: 17 777
Current countered damage: 88 888

If they change it so the counter applies to damage before reduction:
Countered damage: 444 440 x5 = 2 222 200 or about half Awoken Hades's HP.

OR maybe instead of using Awoken Anubis you use Farmable Raoh
Before reduction: 444 440
After reduction: 17 777
Current countered damage: 177 777
Potential countered damage: 4 444 400 (Awoken Hades now has 44 HP)

While this is unlikely it shows that there is a significant difference.
Here is a more reasonable example with Awoken Hades still hitting
Ganesha or Toki reduces the damage
Before reduction: 444 440
After reduction: 0
Current countered: 0
Potential countered: 1 333 320 (Archdemon or Anubis), 2 222 200 (Awoken Anubis, Vivi, etc) or 4 444 400 (Raoh)

It is reasonable to have Toki and Anubis in an Awoken Haku team since the colours work together.

While doing something with counter may not happen it would be better if it could do something.

Yeah, this is why i've always hated the counter-attack skills. In order for it to do any significant damage, you have to die. That's why the orb-change part is a lot more valuable.

Awoken Anubis makes an excellent LKali sub. Orb change effects Green, he comes with 2 time extends and he covers the tricky Dark attribute when you don't have a DKali.

I think Ferracene is right. He does do 10 combo with his nose. but you can do better if you use your knuckle to make 15 combo. with the knuckle ability, you can up the combo to 15 combo.

Just a thought of opinion. What if they traded Anubis active for something similiar like Ult. Starling. Her skill orb change but extra 2 seconds of time movement. Not saying that he needs orb chage but a skill that gives extra orb time movement for a turn can be good.

Or would it be smart to put a Starling on an anubis team. She is dragon/God has a tpa (not good though since you want as many 3-orb combos as you can) and I think a time extension. Not sure though and that fantastic somewhat low cooldown that provides 2 extra seconds. Can be better than a 20 turn cd of change the world.

I dont own an anubis though nor know how their team builds work so no downvote :)

As a light/d Anubis main. I personally feel like this ultimate is not worth the risk.

In all my experience as an Anubis player you are almost always guaranteed 7 combos. 50% of the time you get 8 combos. But after 8 you are completely at the mercy of luck.

9 Combo minimum for 4x? Seriously? And the leader skill doesn't matter. Double damage is pretty meaningless if you can't get at least 9 combos. Because you wont be killing any boss with the his leader skill without 9 combos.

Up to then I completly agree with you - as yet any other incarnation of Anubis is mainly restricted to tricolor/absent colors dungeons.

This is a straight up buff to Anubis
His leader skill isn't "more difficult". Let me explain why.
1. An 8 combo is a 16x multiplier on D/L anubis, this isn't very helpful in descends, most floors of descends you will need the 49x, 16x simply just doesn't do enough to kill the floors considering Anubis' low atk stat and lack of TPA. it is the same difficulty as D/L in terms of wanting to clear floors, the 9 combo from D/L and the 9 combo from Awoken will have the same result
Clearing floors of random mobs got easier
2. In D/L anubis you had to have the 8 combo to clear the floors with monsters like giants or demons and the like. On Awoken Anubis you can use an active and match a couple of dark orbs and the 4x combo gives you enough damage to clear trash mobs.
He is not usable as a sub
3. D/L anubis had bad stats and bad awakenings, Awoken Anubis has amazing awakenings like a skill boost and auto heals and most importantly the two fingers. AND has a devil typing. You can put him on a dark focused Ronia team as a great sub, low CD orb changer at max level and really good stats.
"Anubis is too unreliable"
4. If you think this, then don't play Anubis. If you can't make high combos then you aren't the guy to run Anubis. With the added condition of using a skill in order to get a multiplier from Awoken Anubis' leader skill, pop Haku and get an easy 9+ combos

He really only is as hard as you make him out to be, Awoken isn't that rough with the added awakenings and leader skill buff

I've used my L Meta team to out put around 24 million damage in a single turn. My friends L Meta hit for around 5.6 million itself.

Incidentally, this was against the KoG.

I don't think I need more damage, but i do need more reliable damage.

Highest HP boss is around 7m hp. I watched a person get an 11 combo and do over 7m damage with just his Dkali. Not to mention the other 5 monsters doing 5-6m each. That amount of damage is so stupid, its pointless. In my opinion D/L is still the best because it isn't as dependent on pure luck for the proper board or skyfalls, and anything above a 100x multiplyer is just pointless when your team does 5-6 times the bosses hp.

Don't get me wrong though, Awoken Anubis is miles ahead of D/D anubis as it is easier to activate and do more damage, but for me the best that awoken Anubis can be is paired with a D/L to get a more reliable activation, but still get a 2x burst with a skill used.

The video i quoted (his biggest burst was 64x, with skill used for 256x total @ 5:00)

I'm lucky if I can get an 8-combo move (I average 5-6), so this version would be riskier to uvo into than the D/L form... But the potential damage output, new awoken skills and sexy-as-bawls artwork are making me want to hold out for this form.

Yomi's going to be working overtime the day this releases in the US.

This hell hound is powerful but...I have two concerns.

I see this leader Anubis mainly used as a leader for a dark team build and in term loses it's flexibility. Another example of this would be that you need the absolute dark subs which can complement his leadership (orb/board changers, and at least two low skill cooldown subs to activate this 2x), otherwise stick to the D/L Anubis.

The really? What's the point of 5x counter? Its self explanatory... why don't they add time extension when matching by a second or something at least like the other Awoken Egyptian gods. The two time extension can be replaced by skill bind/jammer resist awaken skills since that is what is needed to dish out massive damage.

9 combos is possible on a good percent of boards, and 2-color board changers guarantee at least a 9 combo.

9 combos and an active = 64x damage.

Basically if you have an active, its still good burst for most content, and it has the potential to oneshot anything in the game when skyfalls are in your favor(excluding resolve of course).

What subs does he need to make things easier, now that he has a more difficult LS to activate?

Things to consider:
• Low Skill Cooldown to activate Anubis' LS
• Orb Changing to make sure you have 9+ matches on one board
• Time Extend Awakenings so it's easier to combo

I am thinking 4 awoken Chinese gods as subs. Base on my calculation, the chance of 10C is 11%; the chance of 9C is 77%; and the chance of 8C is 11%. Skills can be activated every turn, so there is a constant 4x multiplier. This team is also 100% skill bind resistant. The team is weak to binds though. And it takes two turns before the Chinese gods system is up.

As a sub, he should make a good dark sub for an L Kali team. Granted there are other options (DKali), but this is a pretty solid one. He can situationally give some dark orbs if you're trolled just by dark and don't want to do a full refresh (and don't need them for extra light damage with Fuma). Unbindable and time extends are always helpful, and his stats are reasonable.

if, using anubis and king baddie, you can make it to a boss that needs a 1200x to kill him having not been orb trolled, and can pull off a 12 combo in 1 try, you deserve to beat that boss. and i should add, a boss without resolve, dark absorb, or absorb above a damage amount.

in my opinion, for most dungeons, there are easier ways to get it done. i have an anubis who hasn't found his way into any of my teams, but i may consider him for his rcv, overall stats, and now reasonable cd orb change ability.

what hold him back imo is this: awakenings are tech-y, not ideal for adding damage like TPAs or row enhance to a rsonia/lubu/dancing queen hera team. I'd like the time extends for my durga team, but the active removes wood which durga needs. God typing means he could fit into yomi dragon, but no +orb awakenings hurts his chances there. auto heals are bad for dmeta.

maybe he's good for light kali, but maybe having same red subtype as her holds him back.

in general, with those stats and a decent cd orb change active, he will probably be the best available sub for some people's teams, but I personally have trouble seeing how he fits into my teams

His skill is decent for all dark Durga teams. You can still use water fire and heart along with more black you create with this AS. I think hes a great sub for durga for players who have persephone or any other D/G sub. persephones new ult covers green and this man covers red while durga covers blue.. Anubis also provides a whole extra second and very good utility awokens.

As a sub on a TPA based D.Meta team to fill out fire element on All Att Needed dungeons?

My other option would be Awoken Hino who is off colour but fits my TPA meta and has a better Active while doing roughly the same damage with a Dark TPA.

Both can bone me with Autoheals, one provides direct damage in TPAs and HP control via Heart Breaking, other potential damage in Time Extends and HP control via higher RCV.

I hate how tough of a choice this is. I wish I had Nephyths, Claire to make this an easier choice.

More difficult to activate than d/l ? D/l is already extremely difficult to activate... Why make it harder? (When's the last time you used Anubis for awakenings or active skill? Edit: unbindable dark is nice, but we already have that)

My experience has been that I can usually get eight combos without skyfalls if there are only five elements (e.g., "no RCV" levels). If I have an orb changer I can almost always get eight combos on those levels, very often nine. The chance of skyfalls is also much higher on those levels.

If there are six elements (like most levels) then I can often get eight combos without skyfalls; I can usually get eight with an orb changer; I have to be lucky to get nine. I only get skyfalls sometimes on these levels. If there are more than six elements (e.g., with poison or jammers) it becomes much more difficult. The chance of having skyfalls is lower, too.

To kill a boss level you really need more than a minimum match: you want nine or ten for D/L, ten for D/D, ten for D/R with a skill boost (i.e., if you can use a skill), but otherwise eleven or twelve for D/R. But it's not just a *bit* harder to match nine or ten instead of eight; it's a whole lot harder. You're almost always reliant on skyfalls for a ten-combo, and it's *impossible* to get eleven without skyfalls.

So what this tells me is that D/L Anubis (which is what I have) is great on "no RCV" levels and others that are missing an element. D/R Anubis would be risky on those, and D/D would be very, very risky indeed.
