From the beginning to the end, from the bricked dungeon streets to the Challenge 10 feats, from a smiling lucky starting roll to a fearsome Awoken combo god.

Always striving, always improving, always surviving, and here we are. Our greatest ally and furriest friend, the patron of cats and melodies, general of the eternal war. Rewarding skill and showing a path that goes onwards to battle and later to lunch, laughing at jokes and telling her own. Always sowing harmony, always leading the way.

It's a graceful finishing flourish as combos start to fly, the thrill of conquest by your own devices, the helping hand from a goddess of pluck and power. It's Bastet, baby, now and forever. :3

Just found those time-extend actives have a hidden "ability", it will eliminate the timer debuff, like in dark izanami boss floor, using bastet's active will free u from the 10-turn mius 2sec debuff~ sweet

I do not think Gunma is even that big of a requirement. As long as you have Cu Chu you should be able to get the extra burst on any floor that you need it. Though having Guard Stance-green could be helpful.

Would make a decent Verdandi sub, what with being wood/fire and balanced subtype. The active skill isn't that great, though, since Verdandi teams usually use tons of TPAs anyways.
10
Guest 4 years ago ( 7.3.0 )
Verdandi is the one supposed to be the sub, not the other way around. Why the hell would you use Verdandi as a sub over Bastet really makes me wonder.
4
hamelin in reply to Guest 4 years ago ( 7.5 )
Casual farming ofcourse. Verdandi makes the easier farm lead, she doesn't require you to match 5-7 combo's all the time and when you slip up she will catch your fall with her high HP pool.

Bastet is better in descends and when damage really matters but lets face it, right now thats less than 5% of the dungeons. Verdandi can handle the other 95% with less effort and with less risk. That is why some people prefer verdandi over Awoken bastet right now, you rarely ever need a 36x multiplier because so much dungeons can be cleared with a mere 10.89x multiplier from verdandi. With that comes that bastet packs two time extend awakenings and an active skill that gives a little more time on burst turns, which adds to the casual farming experience giving more security making her the ideal sub.

Bastet is stronger, I'll give you that but other than challenge 10 or legend plus, verdandi gets the job done easier than bastet.
1
CatsemanSA in reply to Guest 4 years ago ( 7.5.1 )
I could see using Awoken Bastet x Verdandi. HP boost is sometimes needed for preemptives and stalling and unconditional damage boost is great for when orb trolled or trying to save orbs. You still get about 19x or so damage when you make a complete attack and use a skill.

Gogoyogurt in reply to CatsemanSA 4 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
This is what I'm rolling with, and honestly love it. Its the perfect balance. I've 0 stoned Z8, paradise of the holy beasts, legendary earth, and much more. My team is Verdandi, Hypermax Vishnu, Awoken susano, Max skill cu chu, and extreme metal dragon, with a hypermax awoken bastet friend. I have 28k LP, and plenty of damage.

But I rolled bastet yesterday so bye bye scrub team lol.

Thinking of using a max-skilled Kaguya-Hime as a sub. Skill ups can be a bit tedious but her skill provides some much-needed wood orbs with a CD of 4. She also has a good amount of RCV as well as another Extend Time. Thoughts?
1
SirJeivus 3 years ago ( 8.4.1 )
Setsu's PAD blog mentioned Kaguya-Hime as a potential farmable sub for bastet. Makes wood orbs and low CD. It is a good farmable choice according to him and I personally think so as well, being a long-time A.Bastet user.

Awoken Bastet Leads
Subs:
Wolf Hero, Ignis Cu Chulainn
King Woodsie
Green Essence Sorceress, Armadel
Max skilled Gunma (wild card if you prefer)

This is a beastly Awoken Bastet team with a constant 36x (if you can consistently hit 7 combos of course) a wood orb changer for safety or boss burst, a final burst of 108x and all wood orbs will be enhanced for this (80% standard)
0
BiggestFan 4 years ago ( 7.8.1 )
The age of king slimes is over. Recent descends boast a sub boss on almost every floor. The sub power and utility you lose for a one turn burst is really not worth it. Maaaybe if you're running a tank team with a low multiplier and you stall for it whenever you need it (like some old BSonia players) but even then, you should make a better team.

Surely you shouldn't use it on a 36x mono TPA team. Any green farmable orb changer would be better.

Questions:

1. Does her skill level reset if u evolve her to this form?
2. Is the extra 1.5x attack buff will apply when u use her skill or any of the subs skills will count?

1. Yes, different skill name means skill level resets.
2. Any active skill used (hers or a subs) will activate that part of her leader skill

0
mccool37 4 years ago ( 7.5 )
Does your box work with Wood? If so then forget the typing since the second part of her leader skill only works for Wood anyway.
0
Kuroneko in reply to mccool37 4 years ago ( 7.5 )
Not particularly with wood, it's more god typed than wood. I guess it's not so suited for my box :/

How about fire? At the very least you can use her as a sub on a fire team since her only wood based awakening is the wood orb+ one.

If you didn't know, ult evos work more like regular evolutions now hence the new evolution tab named "Evolution/Ultimate Evolution". If you don't see that you will need to update most likely.

Here's one for the math whizzes.

Dual Wolf Hero Cu Chu's
Awoken Bastet sub. (Yeah yeah almost sacrilege here but humor me)

Bastet uses AS and lands a single TPA

What's the max damage for a TPA with enhanced wood orbs x the 12.25 from Cu Chu's on multiple targets??

I'm curious just how she could ramp up walloping enemies as a sub

This is largely due to my box being Balanced and Attacker heavy

Orb change

What makes Bastet so good is that she stacks tons of on color combos. She has the multiplier of a color lead, yet can stack greens without worrying about other colors, just 7 combos. Imagine a Kali team that hits an average of 3 or 4 tpas per burst, and factor in your crazy subs like Liu bei and Vishnu. Without orb changers, you have no way to stack wood orbs, and you won't reach bastets full potential.

My team is Bastet/Liu Bei/Verdandi/MeiMei/MeiMei/Bastet. As non iap I'm very fortunate to have this team (and a second verd to boot. Hoping for another meimei lol) but the premise is orb change (and lots of tpas). You're good with tpas, just bring orb changers. I'd drop at least 1 gzl for meimei (if you have her, she's perfect for bastet, you can run 4 meimeis if you like) or short cd orb change like sasuke or chuchu. If you can get 5 orb enhances it boosts your damage even further. Don't forget to keep full sbr either.

EDIT I guess Vishnu counts as orb change but not 100% reliable. I'd probably take him over Liu Beii though If I had one

Might consider swapping out zgl for liu bei. Really hoping that the Vishnu ult comes soon for NA... Adds orb change (just two orbs, but that might be enough with sky fall), another tpa, a finger, and skill bind...

I just rolled Bastet in the last Godfest, and now I'm trying to decide on if I should use her or Osiris. I have 2 Osiris, and 2 Vishnu.. so I was thinking of making a simple team of Bastet, Osiris, Orisis, Vishnu, Vishnu, Bastet friend. So far, it sounds pretty great.. lots of prongs, time extends, enhanced orbs.. and very low cooldown orb makers+skill falls which activate Bastet's leader skill bonus damage quite often. She would be less tanky than Osiris, but seems to have a far greater damage potential..
0
Orange 4 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
That's mostly my dream team, but with an Osiris instead of Bastet as one lead and filling up the last sub spot; A.Freyja for a spike, A.Susano for shield, Thumbelina/Ceres for Binds or maybe A.Meimei for for board change.

You only get A.Bastet's 1.5x on skill once (pretty sure anyway) and doubling up on her leader skill seems redundant as you are chasing TPAs anyway. But this way you get 35% HP/RCV at the cost of like 12% damage.

That said I have exactly none of these cards.

*edit*

I just rolled a Bastet too (along with 2 Liu Beis, a Meimei and a Freya), apparently the 1.5 *does* stack. Once I get this team up and running I'll figure out if survivability vs damage is even an issue. Still would have preferred Vishnu's over Liu Bei's and to get an Osiris or two, guess Forest Gala is my next rolling period.

Does the 1.5x Active only work for subs with wood as their MAIN element? Or can I use cards with wood as their SUB element as well and still hit 36x?

I've been thinking about trying to create a hybrid team with Set's new ult (sub-wood) and maybe Cao Cao (Also sub-wood).

Awkn Bastet
G/R Liu Bei (3 Green TPA)
G/R Set Ult (3 Red TPA)
Awkn Ceres (Bind clear)
Cao Cao (2 TPA and orb maker)

After a Set active (red maker and 1.5x atk) He should be putting out some huge damage if you hit your tpas. I know when I use shotel on the wood teams now i'm doing upwards of 7mil damage with liu bei and vishnu when I hit 3 tpas.

JW if this is a possibility. I'm sure you could make some decent teams with other colors too. Can't find anything here about the wood being main element only.
0
Orange 4 years ago ( 8.4.1 )
As far as I know it should work for Red matches on cards like Set and Cao Cao just given the wording and the fact that LS attack boosts other cards will boost the main Attribute if the sub Attribute meets its criterion. For example Zweilhander's LS boosts Water Attribute cards and boosts the Light damage of L/B Apollo's attacks.

Can see why it wouldnt work here.

Are dupe Bastet useful? I pulled 2 of her in the players choice godfest along with Andromeda and Gabriel. I sold my dupe Bastet though. Was it a good decision? I'd like some feedback. Thank you in advance.
0
Vent 4 years ago ( 8.4.1 )
As a general rule punchier TPA subs would be preferred, but I'll be holding onto my dupe indefinitely; with two Bastets, 80% jammer blocker, 40% skill lock immunity, 2 seconds move time and solid HP/RCV offer lots of options for a utility team.

For example, while multi-attack isn't exactly exciting in most descends, the 2 second move time buff is hilarious vs. Yomi Mistress, Izanami as a) it cancels the -2 move debuff, and b) she'll spend her next turn reapplying it. If you've got an A Bastet sub with two A Bastet leaders, that's potentially three turns with no attacks incoming, all with 5 extra seconds of move time. And if for some reason she spontaneously clones herself, you can kill both at the same time.

Ea 3 years ago ( 8.4.1 )
You should start with some punctuation. Get some skill bind resists, they help with getting the materials you'll need. Sonia is a decent farming leader but you'll want better options for Bastet, green board changers like Meimei and Verdandi are your friends here. You don't have to make an all green team to start with, but the color focus gives you more damage. To practice combos, make sure to activate Sonia's extra damage as often as possible.

By Da Crunk 3 years ago ( 9.0.3 )
I feel like I'm missing something here with this form of bastet. Bastet always comes up in a discussion of best wood leaders, or best leaders in egyptian pantheon, but I really don't see why this card is considered god tier lead. Sure, 36x is a good multiplier, but there are monsters with higher multipliers and hp/rcv boosts. Comparing her to awoken Horus, I have trouble seeing anything she has over Horus. Horus has a higher multiplier and a recovery boost, way better typing (seriously, devil/balanced?!) and he has literally 5x the subpool because nothing in his leaderskill restricts the subs he can use, while with bastet your stuck with only wood subs. in terms of awakenings I'd say their about the same, both having an even spread of resists and offensive awakenings, and I'd make the argument that horus's active is stronger too, being on a slightly shorter cooldown and all.

I'm not trying to offend people who really like bastet, but could someone please explain to me what's so great about her?
1
Bestcat! 3 years ago ( 9.2.1 )
Bastet's damage is mono color and doesn't require any other color so she can easily hit in the millions-less prone to orb troll etc, and of course bastet only has wood subs- just because leaders are rainbow doesn't mean they are always better or stronger and thats actually the opposite until you get a mono rainbow team but even then you still need other colors so that reduces damage

Awoken ra is 100x, use the sphinx for that. Ra is the easiest to activate 10x. 5x when you attack with light or fire or use both God and devil attacks, multiply by 2 when using skill. Best awoken, better than awoken Bastet

"I never really was a cat person per se". Said Bastet. "More like a person who just loves cats!" She giggled, realizing the clever play on words she just made. There we were, stranded in one of the dense, looming jungles of Pad. Every step was perilous, it was dangerous to go alone. Having a leader who happens to embody the animal king of the jungle was well advised. The humidity was thick, the mosquitoes relentless, and the sun unforgiving. Why undertake such a borderline insane expedition into one of the most treacherous jungles of Pad you ask? I assure you there is a very valid explanation, one that requires the presence of the Fierce Feline Deity herself.

We accepted the challenge of Shiva the Destroyer. When the world's war reached the Heavens, Shiva called upon those to serve under him in his effort to retake the throne of the divine skies. With the holy kingdom devastated, Shiva found this to be the perfect opportunity to usurp command. He knew he could not accomplish this by himself, so he decided to host a few simple trials. These labors would allow him to seek the mightiest warriors of the mortal world, so that they may ally with him in his reclamation of Heaven. For such a momentous task, such feats were not easily accomplished. I enlisted the aid of Bastet and her mythical pride to lead my band of gladiators in our venture.

After our victory in the coliseums, Shiva allowed us to advance to the real challenges. We were asked to descend into the deepest, grudging dungeons of the world and bring back the Golden Eggs of the legendary Honorable Dragon, Kanetsugu. This dungeon was entrenched within inhospitable morass, requiring a guide with backhand knowledge of the jungles to reach it safely.

"It stinks in here". Scowled one of Bastet's sisters. She wasn't as playful as Bastet, her demure had a darker side to it.

"I think its lovely to be out and about instead of staying home and sleeping!" Another sister replied. This sister was more jovial, harmonious in nature.

"It's funny". Wonder Woman chimed in. "Back in Themyscira, my sisters and I bicker the same way you do!"

"Quiet!" Bastet sneered. "I sense a presence among us!" Her feline ears kicked up. I couldn't hear anything, but Bastet was convinced something or someone was watching. She wasn't wrong. In that instant, several woodland Ninja ambushed from the jungle depths. The Feline Deity arced her back, fanged her teeth and claws. The other sisters followed suit, appearing larger and more intimidating. The ninjas were quick as lightening, not giving us a chance to ready ourselves.

"Stay close to me!" Bastet warned. Her quick reflexes placated several blows landed by the ninjas. She and her sisters returned several claw marks of fury. The woodland ninjas never stood a chance. I stepped into a puddle which surprised me. "There hasn't been any rain for days? What could a lone puddle be doing out here?" I thought to myself. Before I could realize what I actually stepped in, I felt a hand grab my ankle. "Water ninja!" I was cleverly deceived. I made one false move, which was enough in this warring world to cost you your life. However, the ninja's blade stopped immediately before it could reach my neck. Glancing closely, I saw a golden thread keeping him at bay.

"Wonder Woman! You saved my life!" I rejoiced.

"My people have a saying. Don't kill if you can subdue. There's more but I can't get into it at the moment!" She tugged forcefully at her Lasso of Truth.

"You there! Talk! Where is the entrance to the jungle's dungeon!?"

The water ninja was no match for her mystical lasso. He instantly gave up the location, as well as the safest passage to get there. In a one hit knock out, Wonder Woman clobbered the ninja. He faded into a puddle and was swallowed up by the cruel jungle.

"Well done sisters!" Bastet commended her litter.
"Piece of cake." scorned Dark Sister.
"That was purrrrrrfect! Hee hee" delighted Light Sister.

We recovered our stamina and pushed further. When we finally found the entrance, we saw a peculiar little beast guarding it. It was small, golden in color. Looked like a cross between a baby dragon, bird, and cat. I've heard tales of Dragons fathering offspring. Since the dragons were rare species themselves, finding a suitable mate was often difficult and futile. The dragons turned to mating with other species. The offspring of this taboo mating were called "Manekimewdra". This particular manekimewdra was small, non-threatening, kind of cute even. Those big doughy eyes beckoned us closer, Bastet had a particular affinity for the feline creature.

"Awwwwww who's a little chubb wubby kitty witty???" She cooed. But when she got too close, she immediately regretted it.

"OW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" THAT LITTLE CAT-MONSER CLAWED ME!!!" She hissed, a giant cat paw across her face. "That hurt!" You little ..." Bastet tore the deceptively cute baby cat bird dragon apart. The creature's cries echoed throughout the dungeon walls. Suddenly, we felt a sinister rumble from the depths of the dark corners.

"I don't like the sound of that!" Light Sister forewarned. Furious roars became increasingly louder, their echoes resonated in our chests. The rumble grew more and more chaotic, until finally it was given an appearance. There before us, leered the legendary Honorable Dragon himself. Kanetsugu noticed his mangled offspring. With shining love, he nurtured the baby, but was unsuccessful. The creature lied there, limp. Bastet however showed no remorse for the punishment she dished out.

"Are you the father of that ugly catbird?" She taunted stoically. Being the Deity of Felines, Bastet took much offence to an abomination such as manekimewdra. She felt it was a perversion of her elegant feline species. Kanetsugu faced her. He reared back, and cannoned forth an incredible dragon roar. He gazed into her, seething with fury. Bastet's devilishly fiesty nature could not avert his eyes.

"I ... c-cant.. move..!" She uttered. Kanetsugu annihilated her with a deafening blast. We recovered Bastet, her sisters licked her wounds, and retreated from the cave. The monstrous dragon rampaged in pursuit.

"You there!" Kanetsugu growled. "Is that what you came for!?" He threw several coins at us. "Is THIS why you have disturbed my kingdom!? DO YOU RELISH IN HARMING MY CHILDREN!!??" He roared again, the clouds greeting his thunderous cry.

"Oh honorable Kanetsugu!" I attempted to appease the dragon. "We merely wish to part with one of your clutch-"

"SILENCE!!!" The Dragon unmercifully interjected. "I WILL NOT STAND FOR THESE TRANSGRESSIONS!" The dragon approached us closer, preparing another powerful blast as he drawed the energy from within. "May peace be upon you in the afterlife". He sentenced.

"NOW!" Bastet bellowed. It would seem her nine lives weren't merely an expression! From the vines above, her sisters feverishly ambushed the dragon. With several successive strikes, the dragon flailed aimlessly from the sisters destructive combos. The brilliant leader of her pride successfully lured the dragon out in the open, taking a close quarters advantage out of the equation.

"That roar, within a close space, would have doubled its destructive power." Remarked Wonder Woman. "This Feline God is very brilliant indeed". The fire burned in Bastet's awoken eyes as she jumped into the fray of the wild cats' relentless onslaught. Kanetsugu was blindsided and helpless. His defeat was swift. I felt remorse for vanquishing such an illustrious dragon from the world. Yet it was a necessary sacrifice. I knew that when it was time to face the Heavens, I may very well be obligated to end the deranged lives of some of the most holy Gods in existence. Perhaps, this was the lesson Shiva wanted his warriors to learn. In order to fight at full strength, we will have to let go our ties to aesthetics and beauty. We must no longer cherish the gods who no longer watch over us. We do this to restore order in the Heavens, no matter how much we may lose ourselves in it. The ends will justify the means.

When we presented the coveted golden egg to Shiva. He picked it up with one arm, rejoiced with another, and patted us on the back with the rest. The Demolishing Creator saw the wisdom in my warriors and greeted us as allies. Bastet did not wish to accompany us, her kingdom was the vast plains of Pad, and wished no further part in this conflict. Declaring an end to the trials, Shiva turned his gaze to the heavens. The gates of the kingdom were no match for his destructive Third Eye, as the kingdom's defensive walls were obliterated in an instant.

"Now... comes the REAL challenge". He gestured onward.

It, of course, depends first and foremost on your subs.

That said, you can activate Bastet's highest multiplier on nearly every board. You cannot do the same with LKali. Even if you don't hit 7x combos you can do good damage. Bastet's leader ability allows easy scaling of damage from hitting lightly all the way up to heavy damage. Her 1.5x bonus damage when skill is used stacks from two Bastet leaders (same with other awoken Egyptian gods) and can stack again with another damage multiplier from a creature ability.

Bastet is also much more flexible in terms of team potential and subs.

But really, it's going to depend on what subs you have available. And they're both fantastic, so you might as well go with what gets the job done and you enjoy.

You have no clue. Seriously. You look at kali in a vacuum and assume she's better but the frank fact of the matter is... That she isn't. Kali has dark sub issues. Kali can't do a lot of damage without dupe Kali. Kali gets mauled by orb changers and jammer.

Bastet doesn't. Bastet can run a mono green team full of double and triple Tpa subs. Due to this you are also able to focus on generating green orbs to do even more damage. You don't have to worry about clearing out other orbs. Getting 7 combos is easy after some practice. It's her ability to focus on one color that really pushes her over the edge.

On top of all of this Bastet can throttle her damage or do a metric ton. She doesn't have active use problems because not only are you running double 5 CD leaders but you're also running haste subs if you have them. You simply don't run out of actives. Even a rudimentary Verd/Kushinada/Liu Bei/Meimei team zero stones level 10s.

Awoken Bastet S Tier for a reason. People widely over estimate Kalis damage. It is not rare for Bastet to get her subs hitting in the 3 million range... You can't do that without a perfect board and an enhancer with Kali. On top of that Kali is generally the only card doing that damage (or the dupe of her as well) where as Bastet's entire team is outputting that damage. I have a hypermax Kali and have used her a ton... Her damage doesn't even touch Bastet.

Kali is harder to activate because of orb trolls. A. Bastet can be activated on practically any board and has levels of activation from 9x-36x, so you can limit your damage easily if you don't want an enemy below 50% (of course sky falls can be hard to prevent). You don't really need her x36 on all floors too, like said from many other comments on this page. Both leads can get the same amount of burst and great damage with great subs. A. Bastet is equal to, if not better than LKali from her easier activation. Plus you don't need 4 colors on the board for Bastet. You can have majority green and get super damage for kicks :). So like James said, it all depends on box and subs.

You tell us that you rolled a Bastet and you asked us whether u should be excited or not. Upon us telling u so, u immediately begin to call us fools and just be butthurt at the thought that Bastet might be better than your precious LKali. I don't understand what you were expecting us to say...

True. But really it's about your play style. Some people are not comfortable with having to use 4 colors with kali thus they don't do well, some don't have a problem with it. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. But the real issue is people just assume you have to one shot every single round, which is not the case. Believe it or not, there are stalling points all throughout. Some are more scarier than others. Kali teams already have 2 board changers in both leaders, but like people keep pointing out, usually people use more than one kali. So just for argument sake you have 3 kali on the team, each on is up after 7 turns of using. What is the percentage of actually not having one up, not having the orbs you need AND being stuck in a kill or be killed situation. To me the only thing i can see is yes, beastet is easier to use. Without a doubt, but that has nothing to do with being better

I honestly do not see any point trying to talk "Guest" into using Awoken Bastet.

If "Guest" is absolutely positive that Light Kali is superior to Awoken Bastet in almost every way, you are free to sell Bastet for 5000MP.

You could always pull another one if you, by any chance, have a change of mind.

She's better than LKali on the JP tier list. LKali is only A+ tier while Bastet is S tier.

nathan@N17 in reply to Firecat 4 years ago ( 8.0.1 )
I have a lot of problems with what you said. Yes i agree bastet is S tier but why can't people compare cards on similar levels? Beastet (new nickname) is in her awoken form, kali is just in her ultimate. I would hope the awoken form would be better but it's really not by much. I have never ran a dupe kali on my kali team besides the two leaders. Any experienced player can clear boards or conserve orbs to activate kali over and over. It's not like you constantly have green orbs for bastet, you have to use actives. So why do you penalize kali for doing so? I also don't see the issue with the dark attribute for kali teams? How can you give your bastet team good rem subs but for the sake of the argument kali can't have any? There are plenty of options..and yes i have a hypermaxed kali as well. My bastet team is gvalk, awoken mei mei, 3pa liu bae and osiris and each card is not putting out 3 mil so easily, it does take an active with some tpas. You also act like kali is the only card with tpa on her team lol like wtf. Just wait til that new special god comes, the light one with 3pa and x2 for god active with a haste

I like to see any LKali's 2 prongs beating Liu Bei or Vishnu's 3 prongs.
Seriously though, all your arguments are more about A.Bastet and LKai alone than a team. I will agree as a card alone, LKali is a better card than A.Bastet, but when you take in subs and team synergy into account, A.Bastet is far superior.
As mentioned earlier, LKai can be orb trolled, missing any color other than green or an enemy changing a color you need into a jammer/poison orb means you can't activate her leader skill, and the only card that can fix up that board is either LKali or DKali, unless you're using something like Green Goblin for board refresh but that's just disgusting.
For A.Bastet, all you need is green orb, and when you run out of green orbs, just use a green orb changer: Verdandi, Liu Bei, Perseus, Artemis, Cuchu, you name them.
And stop comparing leader just based on multiplier, cause that way everything loses to A.Anubis' potential to dish out x400. Also, now that damage shield is a thing such as Sopdet, you have to do exactly x25 multiplier with LKali and pray for no skyfall for additional combos and become a x36, as with A.Bastet, the maximum x16 leave you unworried about the damage being absorbed as long you don't match any TPAs.
My argument might seem biased because I do not own an LKali and I just recently got an A.Bastet, but I think I listed out enough reasons to proof A.Bastet is a better "LEADER" than LKali but not necessarily a better "CARD".

BUT kali is only an ultimate. Beastet is in her awoken form. You compare a jetta with a civic, not an accord with a Ferrari. Plus once kanna gets here, the whole argument about 3pa goes out the window
0
Dee in reply to nathan@N17 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 )
It is true that Bastet is in Awoken and LKali is only in Ulti, but this argument is between the two cards so we'll just have to bear with it.
As for Kanna yes, she will be a great addition to LKali and possible bring the damage high enough that A.Bastet cannot rival due to the difference in multiplier. However, my point is, from watching all the videos of LKali I do believe she is one of the best cards in the game, and possibly the best stand alone card, but A.Bastet is just better as a leader overall due to better damage control and more versatile sub pool.
Though LKali can dish out more damage, A.Bastet provides enough damage to take out the enemy anyway so I don't see how the damage difference matter here.

Dee in reply to nathan@N17 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 )
That is very true. Horus was my first REM roll and at early game I don't have access to heart breaker and I find myself in trouble rather easily, but that's just me not having proper subs. After getting Bastet I really like her ability to rely on only one color instead of focusing on multiple colors at the same time. At the end of the day, both cards are amazing in their own ways, it only depends on who's playing the game and which style of playing they prefer.

nathan@N17 in reply to Dee 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 )
I can settle on that

Firecat in reply to nathan@N17 4 years ago ( 8.0.4 )
I was taking REM subs in the same context. Maybe im BITTER about the fact that I still can't land a dupe Kali after 100s of rolls but if you look at the subs that Kali has available to her...she doesn't have access to a bunch of 3x or 2x TPA subs unless you have dupes of Kali. Even in the best case scenario of teams...let's just assume you have every sub with 2x/3x TPA light main...you still will generally have lower damage because of the need to have those 3 other colors in the combo. Bastet can just go full bore on the Green orbs regardless of the other colors on the board. I have landed huge L Kali damage numbers before but to do so required the use of a Fuma with a Kali active(and a good one at that)...and an enhancer. I then hit 4 million with Kali...once in a blue moon. Bastet does this damage routinely...well her team does anyway.

That 3x Light TPA is decent sure but can you even fit her because of the color requirements? Kali still has dark sub issues with the only truly good one being...D Kali really. MAYBE Hera/Zeus...everything else is subpar.

The difference in the orb trolling factor is simple. You can clear out a 9 combo on Kali...or even a 7 combo while saving all the orbs you need to save...and still get laughably orb trolled. She gets hurt against things like Dancing Queen Hera Ur or other actives in that same vain and if you aren't running dupe Kali you can very quickly run out of necessary actives. It's pretty easy to get orb trolled even if you do everything in your power to reduce the chance. Bastet doesn't have this same issue.

Kali has more quantifiable weaknesses than A Bastet and it's why she's a tier lower. Bastet can just ignore a lot of things that can mess Kali up. This isn't even to say that Kali is bad because she's not. Kali is a strong freaking leader. She's just not as strong as Bastet. Very few leaders are. A Shiva/A Ra/Juggler are about it...honorable mention to best possible A Lakshmi and Shiva Dragon teams.

Have you not used gadius or zuoh? They can pound it out just as good, if not better than bastet. Same thing with saravasti and krishna. I pounded out 62mil team damage with saravasti with only one water skyfall, just imagine if i would have gotten more. Idk how else to share the pic but i can prove it if you have a kik
