Well, one fun idea with double Almadels as leaders might be to run 4 Red Wood Fafnirs.

After 4 turns, assuming they're all max skilled and awakened, you'll have a constant 1.3x wood attack buff from their consecutive actives which gives you a stable 15.925 attack multiplier with basically no effort.

Oh, and should you get a green row you'll have EIGHT green row enhancements boosting your damage output even further!

One of the easier of the Grimoire series to build a team around, and naturally pairs with Verdandi. If you're not lucky enough to pull your own Verdandi and get this lady instead, you can certainly work with it.

I'd build a team containing:
White Hot Dancing Goddess, Parvati
Divine Flower Suzaku, Leilan -OR- 現在の時女神・ヴェルダンデ (Verdandi)
Wolf Hero, Ignis Cu Chulainn
紅嵐の鎧騎士・デルガド (Balanced Armored Knight)

You could also bring in Generate Earth Dragon if you don't get a God pull like Parvati/Leilan/Verdandi :D

I am super excited to make a farm team using Armadel. 3.5x "unconditional" attack is pretty nice. I have enough wood/fire monsters to make a strong farming team, with the added bonus of the inability of being orb trolled to the point that i can't activate the LS.

A VERY strong farmable option for Green based teams. She spawns AND enhances on a FOUR turn cooldown, when maxed. That means she'll probably be up by turn 1, and she'll be up by the final floor as well. Also she contributes some enhances. Though, true: she is lacking any other utility awakenings. She's a decent option if you need to plug a hole in an otherwise decent team.

Don't try to think about armadel as a top tier decended tackling leader, because, lets face it, she isn't. But with the right subs (some farmable, some not) you can make a team that is essentially an unconditional 12.25x farming team.

Armadel would be very nice to have when you want to grind a technical dungeon or something, but don't want to have to pay enough attention to match three specific colors and then match enough other orbs to clear the board enough to be able to activate the next turn (obv comparing to chinese series).

So in a nutshell: Not a decendeds leader, but a wonderful farm leader.

OK, so I think you get the leader skill. So if I made a team of all R/G and G/R types, and of course the other leader was this same monster, everyone would be 12.25x attack?

Her active skill is like a weak, quick hybrid of orb change and orb enhance. What other farmable green orb changers are there? Many. Generate Earth Drag, ADKZ, Kodama, Zhang Fei, CuChu, mini guan yu, etc (dozens). A few of those meet the G/R color requirements too. Bonus! Definitely an adequate farmable monster. I'd say primary orb enhancer, and gives a little extra orb change something at the same time.

There is also the chance further down the line for this series to get an UVO.

Great Verdandi sub if you are going for a Balanced team. Throw in a Ignis Cu Chulainn and then you have a great board.
Ignis changes Verdandi's hearts to wood. Then Armadel enhances Wood, leaving you with some fire for the multiplier.
Then have a Delgado to boost Balance users attacks.
Then the last spot can be another Verdandi, Awoken Bastet, Green Odin, and if you don't have much maybe a Earth Baron.

Can anyone explain the +orb damage buff because I just maxed her out to have a 5 turn orb enchance+orb creator for my verdandi team which is currently Verdani,verdandi,liubei, liubei, grimore, verdandi which gives me 10 orb enhances. I just want to know how much damage id be doing with a tpa that has all enhance orbs.

A TPA is 4 orbs, each enhance orb is an extra 6% damage. So a TPA of only enhance orbs would have 24% more damage than a standard TPA.

I think they add 5% per orb enhance skill, so it would be 74% more damage total.

"Enhanced '+' wood orbs have a 20% chance of appearing and increase '+' wood orbs damage by 5%"

In other words yes on top of giving a chance of skyfall orbs being a + orb by 20% (100% at 5 or more enhancements) they also add 5% more damage each for being a + orb. However it shouldn't be hard to realize that they only apply to whatever orb color is being enhanced for both of these improvements.

Edit: I messed up on the math pretty bad so i just got rid of it... I ran a dungeon with 2+ orb enhance green to see what i would get...
1 orb = 1.16
2 orb = 1.23
3 orb = 1.29
4 orb = 1.36

1. 1.06*1.05*1.05 = 1.16865 (16.865%).. 1.16865*1.06*1.06 =1.313 which is too high for 3 orbs....
1a. 1.16865*1.05 = 1.22708 which would imply that the 1.16 for one orb should be 1.17 if it were to round 1.227 to 1.23 so that doesnt work either...
2. 1.06+1.05+1.05 = 1.16 (16%).. 1.16*1.06*1.06 = 1.303 again too high...
2a. 1.16*1.05 = 1.218 which is too low...

basically I don't see how they increase the amount with each additional + orb past the first one since it added 1.06 and 1.07 to the number shown

also with 1 + orb enhance
1 orb = 1.11
2 orb = 1.17
3 orb = 1.23

with 0 + orb enhance
1 orb = 1.06
2 orb = 1.12
3 orb = 1.18
4 orb = 1.24
5 orb = 1.30


welp it looks like at 0 +orb enhancements its just +1.06 per orb including the first orb then each enhancement adds 1.05 to the first orb but then every orb after that in a connected clear seems to go up by ~1.06 but slightly more for higher amount of enhancement orbs... I'll probably test this out a bit more later with different amounts.

The formula is:

(1 + (0.06 * number of Enhanced Orbs in the combo)) x (1 + (0.05 x Enhanced Orb awakenings on the team))

It makes me kind of sad that the tricolour grimoires have such lesser awakenings compared to their light/dark counterparts. Their active skills were already slightly inferior (spawn two orbs of their primary element instead of three) and I understand that it's a matter of REM vs Descended dungeons, but still... It would've been really nice to have at least one extra primary orb enhance awakening on the tricolour grimoires. (But maybe I'm just saying that because wood enhance teams are missing out a little.)

So after having played for several years I just enjoy trying new teams for the fun of it. Any suggestions on a team build, I don't have a specific goal in mind as far as orb changers, buffers, etc, so any suggestions are appreciated. My Rd/Gr monsters are: Antares, Dino Rider, Cao Cao, Set, Yasutora Sado, Zhang Fei, Ikkaku Madarame, Makimachi Misao, Leilan, Verdandi, Parvati, Christmas Echidna, Medjedra, Alma & Kapibara, Denebola, Christmas Alraune, Guan Yinping, and that's pretty much it. Not many but yeah... Any suggestions are appreciated. It's just for fun anyways, I like to get other people's perspectives and stuff.

Wow. What a useless active skill when u look at her awoken skills. Pair her up and find another sub that has enhanced orbs, therefore, U already have 100% enhanced orbs. Why do u need to use her active skill? For maybe two more green orbs? What a joke Gung-ho.. Especially for a special god.

I've often had the same thought process as you except I've now realized that her active is still useful for orbs that are changed to wood. Sure you can easily have 100% spawn rate for enhanced wood orbs but that doesn't apply to orbs that you change into wood.

What were you expecting for a minimum cooldown of five turns? (Besides the orb-changers...)

In any case, Almadel only gives a 40% chance each for wood and fire enhancement. As a subordinate, she's better thought of as a complement for a two-prong or row team, given how quickly she can potentially amplify all the wood on the board. It's not all about min-maxing; otherwise, would there be a place for Heavenly Fortune Lakshmi for water enhancement (her awakenings are strictly utility; Skill Boost, Auto-Recover, Recover Bind, Extend Time. Damage amplification is strictly for the active.)?


Besides, she's not a special god, but a descent boss.

orbs created through abilities aren't given + enhancement unless they already have it so an ability like Gsonia or Avalon Drake's would need an ability like this to enhance all the wood orbs... so if you have 100% of skyfall orbs being + orbs thats just a bonus before you use such abilities and the extra 5% per + orb enhancement that is also a bonus.
