Gaia is terrible. You're basically spending months of collected stones or $60 for a critter you'll never use - until now. Update In a day and a half. Hades better get his butt out of Hades and up to NA.

I kind of like the 25% gravity. Used in conjunction with another one or with a normal 70%, it leaves the boss's hp just above 50%, meaning 2 color bosses won't change colors. Used with a 65% gravity (or if 3 gravities are used) it'll take it down to <50%, and change colors. I can definitely see use for it.

He actually seems like a great lead for challenge dungeons. With 25% damage being taken from Dark or green cards it's an effective 4c HP and 4x rcv against those guys (instead of having to heal 10k from a 10k hit, you only need to heal 2.5k). But anyone who already did challenge dungeons 5+ with Neptune/Ceres/Minerva should already know that.

The thing that makes him special is not his awakenings, but his active. When against a dark or green mob you're basically invincible, nothing should be able to kill your 75% damage reduction. But the problem is, not all cards actually have D or G as their primary element (some have dual color HP bars where dark is their secondary color, so you need to nock them down to below 50% to get them to attack with dark (like hera-ur being F/D). With challenge mode bosses having tons of HP, than can be hard with only 6.25x.

That's where his active comes in, 2 gravities automatically nocks the enemy down to 56% hp, meaning that you only need to do 6% of the enemy health to get to easy stalling (assuming their secondary color is dark, which for most bosses it is)

Of course you could just bring two gravity sub's, but that would hurt your utility compared to 2 gravity leads...

All the other A.Greco-romans don't have actives that can be used on the same turn and have synergy, Hades does (no one really cares about his time extend tbh... Its only the gravity). Also he's the only one that's unresisted, making him better than the others.

(Ceres vs hera-ur is bleh)

I can see him easily being on par or even better than the other A.Greco-romans

My goal is to max skill this guy by 2035. It'll be close but I might just make it.

Someone with more time on their hands and nothing to do should compile a list of all the evo materials and experience/stamina required to max skill him - assuming a 20% skill-up rate (which is the best case scenario). I'm guessing it would be fairly epic.

mccool37 in reply to Rubicari 3 years ago ( 7.2.3 )
5 Gaia
5 Zues'
5 Ancient green sacred masks
10 Divine Onyx masks.

5 Hades (or course)
This means you also need:
10 Keeper of Forest
5 Divine Jade Masks
5 Dub Emlits
5 Keeper of Rainbows
5 Dragon Fruits
5 Mystic Masks
5 [more] Divine Onxy masks
15 Mythlits
10 Dub Mythlits
10 Keepers of dark
10 Super King Metal Dragons
15 Devlits

for the purpose of basic evolution of the Zeus', Gaia's and Hades'.

With the new system of an automatic skill up for a max leveled monster at it's highest evo, that would be the extent of the needed materials.

Of course as Rubicari said, Babpys would be easier.

If you're high enough rank, with good enough monsters, and above average skills, you would be able to max skill him in Two weeks (maybe less). Badpys from the coin dungeons will give 100% skill up to any dark monster. The only luck involved will be if the Badpy actually shows up & drops

cool thing is, cuz of his types and attributes u can put him in an awoken ceres, or neptune team as well, helps alot for ceres in particular due to a lack of good green or balanced gravs, and he makes a good off color for A.neptune teams due to his TPAs and skill that doesnt get rid of water orbs or multiply types u dont like... and low cd grav is real! other times to use him would be in dark zeus team, (after all who DOESNT like another monster with dbl tpa?!) and with dark metatron (attacker subtype is real) not sure how i feel about his devil subtype tbh ik that they needed an awoken devil multiplier guy but i wish they had done that with venus and made him somethng else, light could use more good devils, but dark has so many that while its nice for the low cd grav, hes better than ult hera but not SO much better that i wouldnt rather they have given him something cooler, like a healer subtype! would be cool to actually start cracking on dark healers lol they are kinda few and far between right now:/

I'm just wondering, what is the point of resist leaders that only resist 50% or less? I mean, wouldn't it be better to simply have 2x HP? For example, if you have 10000 health, and a monster attacks you with 2000 damage, but you resist 50% of it, so you lose 1000 health, you lose 10% of your total health. Now suppose in the same scenario you have 2x HP, so that your health is 20000. You get attacked again without resisting, so you lose 2000 health, which yet again, is 10% of your total health, so no difference, except that resist generally only affects one or two types of monsters. I realize that 2x HP needs requirements, like same type or attribute, but generally those are not difficult to meet, simply because your team will have similar typing to mesh well together. So I guess I'm wondering, why do people use 50% resists or less as leader? The other Hades have a 55% and 60% resist respectively, so they're better than 2x HP, but why use this resist?

I realize his Awoken skills and Active skills are great, I'm just confused why he would end up as a leader.
3
SgtChewie 3 years ago ( 7.5.1 )
It limits when their resist/hp becomes relevant...because it isn't static, an off color hits like normal where as 2x hp would actually still play in. So that is where it is worse to have resist. It is better in situations where recovering your HP is critical as you would have 2 times as much health to recover if you had 2x HP.....so now you are asking for 2xHP AND 2x Recover to do the same thing as resist.

Both 2x HP and 50% resist have ups and downs...it is more about the situation. I wouldn't pigeon-hold the ability so much...just keep it in mind when you are playing.

DKnight 3 years ago ( 8.0.4 )
The Dark resist is relevant here. Lately, quite a few descend bosses have a gravity attack (especially in Rushes). Most gravity attacks do -99% hp, so a typical 2x HP focused team with no dark resistance and 40k HP will drop down to 400 HP afterwards.

Dual Awoken Hades leaders reduces dark dmg by 75%, so that -99% gravity goes down to ~25% and a 20k HP team would end up at around 15k instead of 200 hp. A rare few bosses do 100% gravity, so if you don't have any dmg reduction => Game Over.

One thing you're forgetting to take into account is how much health you need to recover AFTER being hit. In your 2 examples you lose the same percentage of health but when you go to recover that health you ultimately have to recover twice as much health in the one example after each hit

Can someone explain to me why they would feed a Awoken Zeus to Hades? I am fairly new to this game, and got this Hades during Godfest. From what I was currently reading, all of Zeus's stats are way better than Hades's stats (except for RCV).
3
(´,_ゝ`) 3 years ago ( 7.8.1 )
The game is not all about stats, it is also about skills and awakenings. Also the fact that Zeus is farmable while Hades is a REM monster, so as with every Awoken UVO, you'll have to work hard in obtaining the materials. This won't be such a big deal later on though.

Evo another Zeus if you currently use yours a lot. Keep in mind this Hades Evo will have only 20% grav dmg and any skill ups and Awoken skills you may have on Zeus won't transfer. You have plenty of time to prepare, as this was just released in Japan and might take months to arrive to EU/NA servers.

I love the Artwork, the REC and the ATK are great, good LS too although situational but the prize goes to his Awoken skills! However that active skill... You would think his Gravity would remain at 30% if not get better by merging with Zeus (strongest gravity in the game), but being nerfed down to 20% and get only extra orb time movement for 1 turn? Gaia's dmg reduction and/or heal would have been more appropriate as a secondary effect. Regardless and considering the exorbitant Evo material cost, I think I will work on my Beelzebub (Better AS at lower CD, has X2 TPA too) before getting to this one.

Edit: Got Beelze ulted and loving him! Now working on Hades. I am excited now that they are buffing his active to a more reasonable 25% dmg, and his time extend makes it so easy to squash bosses.

Walrus in reply to nathan@N17 4 years ago ( 7.2.2 )
True, I guess it can be seen as a mini-"Change The World" plus mini grav, and perhaps would be of more use as a sub in a spike team like Durga, Kali, Horus, etc. even though his active has a 17-13 CD, which can be too long for most dungeons. However considering the material cost I would have expected more of the active, but I am happy with his upgraded Awoken skills and stats; I just have more use for Ult Beelze as a whole due to his LS, orb enhance/heal active at lower CD and his Awoken which also include X2 TPA. There is more value in it too being non-REM as well, including attainability.

yt in reply to Firecat 4 years ago ( 7.2.2 )
Hades is actually pretty amazing. He has high attack and 2 double-prong awakenings...nuff said. That alone makes him a good sub on a spike team. His active is really good on a spike team as well. It does decent damage and can help make potentially larger combos than without those 5 seconds (5 seconds is a lot). As leader he's okay but where he shines is as a sub.
4
greml1n 4 years ago ( 7.2.2 )
Seems pretty amazing to me....
1
yt in reply to Firecat 4 years ago ( 7.2.2 )
There are always better options for subs though. For example, in a ronia team, the best subs would be a whole team of ronias. The point is not everyone has the option to make a perfect team and also, just because there are better replacements for a given monster (haku to replace hades for example) doesnt make it "lackluster" or else basically anything in a ronia team that isnt ronia would be "lackluster". The greek series are mostly for stalling as you say but its kinda implied that Hades is not heavily intended to be on a stall team, or at least as a leader for a stall team (reasoning would be the 2 two-prong awakenings in place of resistance-bind). As for Hades being more viable than the other greek monsters, that depends on the type of team your making. Anyways, I personally average 5 combos a turn without skydrops but with that active could probably make 6+ (though I dont know how much damage a 5 combo compares to 6 and up so I cant comment too much on the extra damage the extra time could create. I also dont know how that compares to the downgrade in gravity. Depends on the multiple for that given turn I guess). All in all, I find his active as useful as the other greek gods (with the exception of the ultimate minerva and current venus). Its supposed to help with those one turn bursts where that one or more extra combo(s) can (I assume) create damage that even a 30% gravity cant match (depends on targets hp too and the multiple of the team. I personally do more damage on for example the friday dungeon bosses with a one turn 24.5 or 36.75 multiplier (and prong) than with a 35% gravity). Anyways, the reason I see the 2 double prongs as good with that attack is mostly because I usually make at least 2 rows of four during a boss floor so with Hades it would be a 5.0625 multiple with the prongs alone. Make 2 different sets of prongs and lets say its a 5 combo and you match no other dark orbs, Hades base would be around 24,000. Anyways, to each their own. I dont plan on rolling him but just saying I think hes good. Also, being a devil and attacker type doesnt hurt either.
1
Firecat 4 years ago ( 7.2.2 )
He's fine as a sub...even though there are better options for that depending on what you're looking for. (D/D Haku for one if you're looking for damage or rows and comes with a two prong...) but I always looked at the Awoken Greco series as an attempt to make stallish teams have enough damage to actually get things done as leads. Awoken Minerva, for instance is a favorite for the first level 10 challenge dungeon.

When I look at hades I honestly see a really lack luster active. I think above all else that really makes him rather mediocre compared to the other Awoken series. Is he viable? Absolutely. Do I consider him as viable as the other Awoken Greco's...nope. Also keep in mind that you're giving up additional versatility or power for that 5 second boost. While I don't think that everyone in the game is AMAZING or anything the fact of the matter is that when you get good at the game there are very few boards you won't be able to get the most of in the four seconds you have to move the orbs...the extra 5 seconds can become superfluous for skilled players.

Of course this is all opinion...it's simply the reason I don't see people going crazy over him like they did for Minerva or Neptune.

Honestly looking at it...seems that he has several factors against him. First, his active ability pretty much sucks. Neptune's got a straight buff where as Hades is just...meh. Minerva's is incredible and Ceres's is at least decent...Hades is just blah. Second, he's not bind resistant where as all the other Awoken ones are. Considering you're going to be relying on that 50% reduction to get through dungeons having him bound is likely instant death. For me, personally, those two factors make him flat out worse than the other Awoken series. I don't care about two prongs or whatever for him as a lead...and as a sub there are actually better options. He's just lackluster.

Dual lead + Horay + Elysium and two spots left for whatever you please. This team will go places.

I wanted this card since I first got the game and just assumed I'd likely never play that long... but I just got a Hades today... and now thinking about the evo materials to get the Hades I actually want... makes me want to cry... I can't beat either of those descends yet :(

I'm glad they didn't give him any orbs for his fusion like the others but that might be because the two monsters to be infused are tough to get: Gaia for that crazy cost-restricted dungeon and Zeus for all those materials you have to spend to get him

Anybody ever notice the picture in the background behind his scythe? I can't make out exactly what it is.

Nice rebuff of his skill. That active is now pretty powerful considering you get it for 5 whole turns.

I might catch alot of flack for this but I don't think he's worth the trouble.I mean sure I like the awakenings but I'm not impressed with that leader skill and it seems like a whole heck of alot of trouble for a sub.I don't know I could be wrong, at any rate I'm not rushing to ultimate evo him.

Well his LS before was just a reduction but now it's x2.5 attack and reduction, so idk why you don't like it. It's almost the same as the others except wood instead of light. He's not that bad

The others already had their bind resists before their awoken ults.

Agreed. Though he could make a decent sub for some situational dark devil teams, I feel he got nerfed with the leader skill & awakenings (which are even more restrictive). I would've been enticed by 100% bind resist instead of blind resist, but alas it is not to be. I might eventually evo him (the art is cool), but I'm not sure I'd ever really use him if I did.

Edit: I just got GZL a few weeks ago, & now I believe he can be a viable sub for two of my teams. Devil (Satan) & GZL teams can greatly benefit from this sub. I also believe his leader skill will become more useful in the future (farming Arboreal Queen & perhaps Zeus Dios). Truth be told I haven't used my Hades in awhile, & the update to 25% Grav makes him more attractive (it was 20 before).

Yes i agree but it doesn't seem fit to make him unbindable just because of his type. The only unbindable dark i can think (that isn't healer) is d.meta amd she's practically a super legend god so it makes sense for her. The other ones have abilities that don't do as much damage as his gravity could (well Neptune's poison could if you gave it 100 rounds).....that may not be a good enough reason but honestly i think it comes down to them trying not to make hades to OP. He already gets a mini CTW, a 25% gravity AND 2 tpa. Not to include him being the almighty dark element (which seems to be the best)

It was the lack of bind resist that irked me, as Minerva, Ceres, & Neptune all got these in their super evo's (& just about every Mythic dungeon out there binds at some point). As a leader, I would think he will be extremely situational in his usage, double resist teams rarely see an all or mostly green/dark dungeon (Beorc & Dios are the only ones I can think of that come close). I could be wrong, I just don't see him as a good leader...but as a sub? Fantastic.

Great arguing points. And now, it looks like he's a good leader for the new Dark Knight dungeon (which I'm unable to pass with my Satan team). Just need Gaia...

His point is, it's a pain in the are to get all the evo materials!

How practical if you are going to swing that scythe in real life?

To think all the other gods in this series got such a great boost in the uvo... Hades's uvo was a bit disappointing.

Double two prong and an active skill that is both gravity and time extender. He's a perfect sub for Ra and Anubis

Yes, the 25% softens up the boss, and then he gives you an extra 5 seconds to set up a spike with Ronia or whomever. And if the spike doesn't kill the boss, he will reduce damage by 50% for 3 element types to give you a chance to survive the hit you're likely to take.

Really not only does he still do his gravity damage, but also a 5second time to move orbs, which is fantastic. Also the turns for active is very short compared to the pre evo
