The 50% Light and Dark Damage reduction is technically the same as getting x2 HP and x2 RCV, assuming you do a dungeon that has only Light and Dark units.

Think about it in percentages. Let’s try making a scenario.

SCENARIO 1: 50% Damage reduction, no HP & RCV Boost
• HP: 5000
• RCV: 500
• Enemy’s hit: 2000

When hit, you will reduce enemy’s damage down to 1000. Your health will be 4000/5000, or 80%. When you match a set of hearts, you will recover 500. Your health will recover to 4500/5000, or 90%.

SCENARIO 2: No damage reduction, x2 HP & RCV Boost
• HP: 10000
• RCV: 1000
• Enemy’s hit: 2000
When hit, your health will be 8000/10000, or 80%. When you match a set of hearts, you will recover 1000. Your health will recover to 9000/10000, or 90%.

As you can tell, percentages are still the same.

CONCLUSION: 50% damage reduction and x2 HP & RCV are the same, according to the percentages.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Units with 55% Reduction as leader skills are better than x2 HP & RCV Leaders!

Your argument is almost completely solid. There are two very slight reasons why resists are a little better off than 2x hp/rcv when you have just a couple attributes of enemy monsters:

1) 2x hp/rcv is usually limited to specific attributes and types, while resists are limited to enemy attributes - assuming you have resist leaders for all enemy attributes, the subs can be whatever you want.

2) Non-orb heals (autoheals/healing AS) do more on resist teams than on 2x hp/rcv. Firstly, heals for multiples of stats (I believe) calculate off the original stats and not the boosted ones, thus doubling the effect on resist teams. The same holds true with heals for set amounts of HP (autoheals/melon dragons/super gunma) as you are recovering more set HP. Let's use an example:

Say you have two teams with a fruit dragon in each. Both get hit up by a monster dealing 10000 damage. On a resist team, assume you have 10000 hp and for the 2x hp/rcv you have 20000 hp

For the resist team, you now have 5000/10000 hp, and for the 2x hp/rcv team you have 10000/20000 hp.

When you use the fruit dragon's AS, a static 3000 is added to each team. This means that on the resist team, you now have 5000+3000 = 8000/10000 hp or 80%. However, on the other team, you only have 10000+3000 = 13000/20000 hp or 65%.

So resist teams are just a little better than hp/rcv boost teams as long as only a few enemy attributes are around. Other than the mild details I've pointed out, however, everything else is equal :)

Hmm I'm not 100% sure about the math/logic with my statement, but I think that since damage is halved, it'll be twice as easy to recover the lost HP. So technically, RCV is increased as well.

If the dungeon has multiple attributes, go 2x HP/RCV, obviously because you wouldn't be able to resist all hits. That is the advantage 2x HP/RCV has over 1/2 damage.

However, if your resist damage covers all attributes and the dungeon has binds, then 1/2 damage has the advantage over 2x HP/RCV. You might be thinking, "Why is that?" I was hoping you'd ask. If you have 2x HP/RCV and your leader gets bound, it is basically a -50% HP attack once the bind is removed (or -75% HP if you get double bound.) Whereas if a resist leader gets in a bind (hardy har-har) you can pop a recovery skill or match 6 hearts to remove it and have suffered no HP loss*.

Also, if you are in a dungeon with no recovery, then obviously 2x HP/RCV is not as good as 1/2 damage**. Although you have to have giant orbs to a walk into a no-recovery dungeon with a tank team.

All-in-all, anyone from this series is a potentially awesome leader and a cost of 30 is unbelievable, only offset by the evo material, which I agree with and I think it makes the game more interesting than just using the same KoRs and DubMyths that I've been using since I started the game.

Now, if only I HAD one of these three... (or maybe they can do it to some more junk gods - come one Kagatsuchi and Lakshmi!)

Your logic is flawed, if you say RCV's the same no matter what, you can say the same to HP. You are thinking in the wrong way, easier recovery isn't because you have less HP to heal, it is in fact because you take half damage, then you only need to heal back half damage, that's why we have 2x rcv(I'm not sure how combo multiplier will affect this "2x rcv" though")

Okay, the reason why the 50% reduction is essentially the same as 2x hp AND 2x rcv is because even if you have 2x rcv and 2x hp if you have 50% reduction that means that while you have half the health, you only took half the damage. Also, while you have half as much health, you only have to heal for half as much. if i have 100 hp and i take 50 i have to heal 50 to get full health. If i have 50 hp and i take 25 dmg i have to in turn heal 25 to get to full health. So basically, it doesn't matter that my hp and recover are doubled if i'm taking half the damage because the percentages of damage i take and health i have to recover are the same if i am taking half the damage.

Ugh, this is the only Water-type-sub-water-type monster that has an Atk greater (MUCH greater) than my Permafrost Queen, Hera-Is at Lvl 99! And to boot is also a Devil so it goes perfectly with my Type-Same-Subtype team of Gods/Devils...

Is there a PAD-X forum where I can post my team and stats? I want to discuss whether a monster like, say, Awoken Neptune would advance my team just because its Atk is higher (but also weighing what other advantages it would bring and the like)...

Something that's not always a benefit, but would have helped this past week, his PRIMARY type is attacker. I learned a few days ago that conditional dungeons only check your FIRST type, I wanted to run Zhang Fei descended ( ), but all of my God/Attacker and God/Physical people weren't allowed (notably water/light Neptune). Very minor thing, but worth noting.

Um, neptune has better stats and awoken skills than king flamie. Unit 13 is water and this is a water attacker. king flamie has 3x multiplier while this has 2x multiplier and a poison. I already use a water/dark attacker team (2 unit 13 FI, Beastrider wiz merlin, hanzo, and im planning on using this. With a unit 13 FI friend of course) 2 leaders as Unit 13 FI uses a 12.5 attacks below 99% hp. 12.5 times 2 is 25 times. 37.5 with king flamie is good also, but i dont get the water damage. Neptune also has a water enhance. Isnt 25x on an ATTACKER team with several two prongs or i could even use row enhances enough damage already compared to king flamie who has bad stats and awokens? Am I wrong? I would just like to know why im downvoted ._.

I just noticed the leader skills has been changed away from their respective element to suit only light and dark reduction, does this mean GunHo has something planned for the new descends ahead? Anyway, concerning the new neptune route. I'm sure by the time we get this, we should also get the skill up date as well, if you can get another neptune and fuse it with the guaranteed skill up fodders, you can get his skill to max all in one fusion. XD Now, collecting the rare materials, I would imagine to be more hard than challenging the weekday mythicals. Anyway, the skill cd is only 17/15, there are a lot of water cards that have skill boosts, I don't think getting this active up in a short time would be a problem, but I will just wait to see if GunHo will bring out a series of water attackers besides the beast riders.

no. 1547-1551 are all guaranteed skill up fodders by the main element. Apparently, from the comments they are farmable dungeon drops, but success rate of actually getting them in a super difficult dungeon seems low. I wouldn't expect anything more since they are guaranteed to skill up any monster card of the same element to skill up once per fodder.

I think awoken neptune will be quite useful. Neptune + 3 Zeus Mercury + Kraken and a friend neptune will make a decent team. Even if the dungeon has all color enemies, you can still kill the rgb enemies first and stall turns. The only down side is if the dungeon has no dark and light monsters its very hard to stall turns. Also keep in mind this team would have 6 row enhancements

Cool team build that I've been using a lot to farm zeus :P

L- Awoken neptune (max level/awoken, everything else doesnt matter)
S1- Awoken zeus mercury (Mine is max leveled/awoken, but it doesnt need to be)
S2- Awoken wadatsumi (Mine is level 84 and thats more than enough)
S3- Wiz merlin (Max level/max skill)
S4- Awoken Hera-is (Max level/skill, not needed either)
FL- Awoken neptune (doesnt really matter)

F1- Kill and move on
F2- kill all but one (kill mystic mask in middle first) and stall until skills are up
F3- Kill all, unless you accidentally derped the second stage, and in that case, you should kill all but one and stall for as long as you can.
F4- Pop wiz merlin, wadatsumi and one of the awoken neptunes, and proceed to kill.
F5- Pop mercury, hera-is and neptune, and bam. (If this does not one shot zeus it is not big deal since you will end up halving all of the received damage.)

Man this guy is awesome, and one day I may pull the trigger and evo to him. But I really like the W/D Neptune that I have and am thinking about max skilling him even. Although I don't use him too often on my Rebel Luci teams, I do like having him as a solid poisoner and bind-proof option for that team and for all super dragon farming teams. Regardless, great guy to have on your team.

The active skill on this page needs to be fixed. The actual skill is the following : "2.5x ATK for Attacker & Devil Types for 1 turn; all enemies mortally poisoned."

There is absolutely nothing about poison applying "every turn" as stated above.

Its part of the poison mechanic, Padx eliminates any ambiguity on AS and LSs by being specific about the effects. In this case "Mortal" means 10x damage and "Poison" ticks every turn while ignoring enemy defense.

Quite possibly one of the best active skills to share onto an A Pandora team. The damage boost is a bit useless in most situations (unless you're doing arena or something) but the poison eliminates the need to sub in a weaker card like DL Lilith when poison is needed.

I love it how every god I want, I always get every single god in that set except for that one god.

I have Hades, Minerva, Ceres, and Venus. But no Poseidon.

I want Sun Quan and then I get Liu Bei, Lu Bu, DQXQ, and Cao Cao. But no Sun Quan.

I actually think the Leader skill is super OP, and this will be a popular lead.
Im even ok with the Leader skill change to 2x for Attackers....

But losing God type makes me sad because I was loving this guy on the Athena attacker team with Rodin,GZL,and Yomi. Closest thing to a Blue God/Attacker in US version Atm
