I thought he was gonna get a hair cut but I guess not. What really matters is that x1.35 ATK.

*Tisk tisk* Should of had done your research first buddy. Your first reply before you edited it was, and I quote, ""You do realize archangel Uriel is a girl, right?" When I came to see you edited it before I got a chance to reply to it, I was disappointed. The hint was that all the Archangles are males, if you haven't noticed. This might be down voted by you or other users that are very critical about silly thing like these. Either way he looks fierce with that luscious set of hair he has, I wonder what shampoo and conditioner he uses.

Justin in reply to Vinny 6 years ago ( 6.5.2 )
Finally, someone said it. On top of that, GungHo clearly is not opposed to changing the genders of monsters through evolutions, so honestly I think Uriel can be whatever anyone wants her to be. (Obviously I still consider her as taking the form of a woman.)

EDIT: Also, please note that I am not the same Justin as above. I probably shouldn't have picked such a generic IGN as to avoid this problem, but whatever.

Yeah totally my mistake. I realized I was wrong when I looked at his first stage, he only has part a chest plate, so either he was a guy, or a nude girl. Either way he still looks feminine

the artist who draws many of the cards has officially stated on his twitter that the D/L u-evo of Yomi is Male and the D/D one is Female so... this.

what really matters is dragon subtype plus respectable recovery + autoheal!!!! WOOT and HES A DRAGON ORB CHANGER!!! been trying to put together a decent two prong team with my awoken kagutsuchi but ive found that my main problems are
1. only decent dragon orb changers either have long cds or are hard to get from REM
2. Dragon RCV sucks **** like really lol, especially since if im going to put together a team and not spend a million stones on the REM or skill up draggie (who then is still kinda meh since im making a fire dragon team) im stuck with zaerog ults for multiplying dragon types and for enhancing fire orbs, which means more than -300 rcv just from 2 monsters (unless i stick a ton of plusses on)
3. Dragon actives almost always have 2 parts, one of which is unfavorable. Lets be honest who is going to take down zeus mercury or w/e with a 10x attack on an active? id rather just get a lower cd and easier skillups lol

this is why this guy is awesome he deals with all these problems and not only gives me heal orbs but a ton of rcv too (one of if not the highest rcv for a dragon) just pure awesome! just wish he had 2 prongs instead of a row enhance, but to each his own

Seriously! I got down voted twice just for agreeing with someone, that's just dumb. But I'm glad I have Uriel he has high rcv, then he even multiplies it times two.
By m.Frog 6 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
Ultimate Uriel can form a 2/4/2 fire team by pairing with Devil Shiva (#1113), or a 2/4/2 dragon team by pairing with Dragon Freyr (#1344).

What's different from Ares based 2/4/2 teams is that when Wangren (#1225)'s leader switch ability is used, Uriel based teams become 1/12/1, whereas Ares based teams become 1/8/2 (switch out Ares) or 2/8/1 (switch out Freyr). Being able to switch between 2/4/2 and 12x spike team is a huge plus for dungeons that require both endurance and spike. Wangren requires 100% HP for its leader skill, but by switching out a 2xHP lead to a 1xHP lead, you're guaranteed 100% HP as long as you have more than 50% HP left before the switch.

Alternatively you could switch from 2/4.7/2 to 1/14/1 by pairing with a Uzume or a Takeru friend, at the cost of raised difficulty while Uriel is lead. For subs, Ares's double-attack stance is highly useful for fire teams, while Strawberry Dragon (or Flare Drall) + Guan Yu achieves the same effect for dragon teams. Ronia and Dragon Haku work with both teams.

For those unfamiliar with the term, 2/4/2 refers to double HP, quad ATK, double RCV. It is a popular and balanced composition for many dungeons.

Noooooo!!!! They messed up the Michael and Uriel ulti! I was hoping that Uriel would become attacker type since he's fire and Michael dragon because of wood but now...

What the hell man this is unfair. Uriel only requires a Red Dragon Fruit and Michael requires the new Ancient Masks (probably impossible to get). :(

If his angels and chosen humans are anything to go by, I assume that god himself is a wide eyed anime guy in a toga holding the Earth in his hand while lounging back in heaven

Or maybe they'll pull a noah and god will be a sexy super angel with eight wings and huge t1ts

Possibly the highest-RCV dragon in the game? Not sure what dragon team he'd go on, but at least he's also an orb-changer.

I can finally make my I evolved Uriel into a badass thanks to that red dragon fruit, thanks gung-ho! :)
By Bjx 6 years ago ( 6.4.3 )
YAY Finally Uriel has an ultimate evolution! He looks much more cheerful and energetic, i like his new uniform too and his face is attractive. The only things a wish is that they would make him a sub of light not fire, it help my team best to have double elements. It would be nice to choose if is going to be fire fire or fire and light. Similar issue for the arch demons, it would be great if they had there sub element dark.

Anybody agrees or votes for two different elements for the archangels?

As for the rest, the leader skill and the design is great.
By Greg! 6 years ago ( 6.4.5 )
Totally missed out on how this guy is also a dragon. He definitely has more uses than i thought he initially had! Hoping to see more dragon-based builds with this guy in them!

I thought Raphaels ult would be great, but this is actually the perfect fit for my Ares team, Archangel & Japanese Godfest PLEASE! Him & Ame are so needed to fix my recovery problem without hindering my attack & hp.

I just pulled my second AA Uriel and I already have this Ult Evo. Any point in trying to get a second ult evo of it or should I just use it as awakening/skill-up fodder?
Greg! in reply to Freddy 6 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
You can even build a team around him. He's got good stats (especially RCV for a dragon), awesome awoken skills, and a useful active. You could use two of them in a dragon team, or build a fire team around them
Greg! 6 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
Keep both. Never fuse away REM-only monsters!
Freddy in reply to Greg! 6 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
Yep I hear you, it's never a good thing to feed a REM pull (even if it's a duplicate). I'll just stash him away for now then.
Freddy in reply to Greg! 5 years ago ( 7.3.0 )
I know this is a very late response, but what do you use your Uriel for? After all this time, I still let this guy collect dust in my box, but have been meaning to work on him as of late since my box is very fire-heavy. Any suggestions at this point?
Greg! in reply to Freddy 5 years ago ( 7.3.0 )
I actually don't use him...I'm in the same situation as you. But I'm super eager to use him.

I can imagine him in a Minerva team, but I still don't have her. A row + Auto-Heal is very helpful in resist teams. Not to mention, they're both Dragon types.

He could probably be used in an Ultimate Goemon team as well since Uriel is Dragon, and gets boosted by Goemon's Leader skill...but then Uriel's high RCV and heart-making skill kinda counteracts with Goemon's Leader Skill.

Or you could go with a standard R/D Shiva team; this is where Uriel's high RCV and heart-making skill comes in handy. But then x3 teams are a bit outdated.

I also read something about using Uriel as a pseudo-Lucifer team, with Ultimate Goemon as a sub for his "pseudo-Morning Star" (200,000 damage, HP down to 1, plus a whole board change). With double Uriel's x4 RCV, it shouldn't be too hard to go back to full health after the suicide down to 1 HP. Just make sure the next floor doesn't have a pre-emptive hit, or you'll be dead.

Other than that...I'm just waiting for his badass Awoken evolution. Then, we'll be able to see his full potential.
Freddy in reply to Greg! 5 years ago ( 7.3.0 )
Very interesting points. Ya I have thought about using him as a sub for my Shiva and even Rodin but I generally use those two as subs to begin with. Not to mention when I do use them as a leader, I usually stack the team with a few of my 3 Ult Ronias (I’m very lucky with getting this guy and actually just got my 4th one lol). I hadn’t bothered with him for months despite occasionally thinking about using him, but I ended up rolling a mini ggy and thought it would be different to maybe make a team with ggy as a leader (obviously more for farming, not descends at least for now). I can definitely see him as a viable Ult Goemon sub for sure, but right now I am wondering if his rcv may be too high for that team (funny how his awesome rcv may actually be a disadvantage in this case, since most mono fire teams more than welcome a boast in rcv). Regardless, I think I’ll start leveling him up with the intention of using him as a multi-purpose sub. Although I do like the idea you mentioned about the pseudo-Luci team, I’m not sure if I’d personally do that only because in the past I grinded hard with my Lucifer team and it eventually took the fun out of the game (every once in awhile I’ll use him for a sure clear of a dungeon like the ones that are 5 staged specials that are around for two weeks. We’ll see though, but it’s interesting that I haven’t even thought about him or the other Archangels getting an awoken ult. It was be sick if he does, so here’s to hoping for one!

The addition of Gadius just made Uriel incredible...
By Greg! 5 years ago ( 8.0.1 )
One of my first Gods. He now has a very important position as a utility sub in my Awoken Shiva team.

• Very high RCV helps the team out, especially with Awoken Shiva's multiplier
• Heart-making and Heart-Enhancing Active Skill further boosts safety
• Small Auto-Heal is always welcome
• Skill-Lock Resist is almost always needed in Awoken Shiva teams, depending on the dungeon

He isn't a staple sub like Kiriko or Awoken Hinokagutsuchi, but he definitely has his uses depending on the dungeon. Glad I kept him since I started playing a year ago!!

Literally my most useful sub at the moment.

Pair with Red Dragonbound, Gadius for a 2 color red heart board. Millions of damage possible, and it requires fairly basic Evo materials (red dragonfruit optional for the combo, but I got one of those and hung onto it for months).

I'm low IAP. Spent $20 in google opinion rewards credit on this game in the last 6 months. So I guess I got lucky.
By Legend7Nat 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Figured I should call it

His new typing will be ..... Balanced
Greg! 5 years ago ( 8.1.1 )
Dang this is actually possible...and disappointing. I mean, it's nice to have a different and new combination (Fire and Balanced), but it's my personal preference that Uriel be Attacker or Physical.

Of course, there are already way too many Attacker and/or Physical Fire units, and I know I'm not supposed to be bîtching about it anymore lol. So, it only makes sense that Uriel will be getting Balanced. Good point!!

In Angelology (mythology and studies related specifically to Judeo-Christian Angels, and demons), Uriel means, depending on the source, either "God is my Light" or "God's Fire." His attributes are fire in one palm and a flaming sword in his other. In this case, it's not so much that he is a dragon, as it is that Uriel is like a dragon, for his affinity to fire, and his raw, badass power. Think Natsu from Fairy Tail.

Lol, Jerry you are awesome! Seriously though, I'm loving that Uriel got the Dragon sub, it's great that Gung-ho has been improving the Dragons in this game. This is perfect for a dragon team (especially since high RCV, auto heal, & orb changers are rare for dragons). Just need that dragon fruit (keep getting the water & wood fruits).
J.T. 6 years ago ( 6.4.3 )
But a Dragon that can change orbs, which is rare.

Besides, in this depiction, he is seen as the highest form of an angel, a Seraph, which literally means "Burning One." His name on this page roughly translates to "Seraph of the Dragon-Flame, Uriel." And dragon's fire is arguably the most badass of fire. So, given all that, it makes sense why he is a dragon type.
