Called a Devil Fish but isn't a Devil type? Well that's pretty dumb.
Davvinchi 4 years ago ( 6.3.1 )
they should give it two ult evo options so it becomes either devil/attacker (RCV up) or dragon/attacker (attack up) :) I love that it has low hp!

It would have awesome synergy with various devil teams indeed.

Perfect for a Zoombie team
dirtbelly in reply to kai@HNL 4 years ago ( 6.4.4 )
Don't waste ~60k exp on this? IMO this is one of the best monsters for a zombie team:

1) Dual color (one blue, which works with siren)
2) At lvl 6 100k+ nuke (perfect for Wed - Expert dungeon*)
3) At lvl 6 only 295 HP (perfect for full auto-heal)
4) Low cost @11 (easy to run 4 with Siren and Blue Ogre)

Skill cooldown @15 kinda sucks, but manageable, especially with a fully awoken ogre.

I just wish I had realized this when the Corpse Wyrm was in town :/

Dragon Zombie - Master is not terribly difficult to beat, even at a relatively low level. Farming four of these would really help low/mid to mid game by giving you a great zombie team. Unless I'm missing something?

*Wed - Expert: stall floor 1 to charge Devil Fish abilities. Nuke to end floor 1 in order to keep HP at 1 to nuke synced monsters on floors 2-5. Unless every single floor after floor 1 has synced monsters, you should be set for a quick and easy win.

Edit: Nevermind, forgot that having a sub different from the main makes it difficult to stash orbs. Still not bad, but not as great as I initially thought.

...Zombie teams only work for people who know how to organize orbs and stall properly, it's a bit of a requirement to make zombie teams work. Welcome to the game?

This is a very underrated high risk but very high reward monster and definitely a keeper for most of us without a Lucifer of our own as it can deal comparable Dmg.

This monster's low health makes it ideal for most zombie/perseverance/resolve teams. Beyond this, it won't lose it's usefulness as it goes well with Lu Bu's active, Lucifer's "Morning Star" AND Satan's "World's End" active abilities for maximum Dmg when at 1 HP; His active ability can deal a maximum of 268,950 Dmg (537,900 Dmg against Light affinity) when max lvl'd and with 99 Atk + eggs.

The active ability is ready every 7 turns when max skilled, which is easily accomplished whenever the Zombie Dragon dungeon is active, which is also relatively easy to beat with a farmeable team.

Bear in mind the Devil Fish has low health, but it is also very high attack for a 3 star monster and has a very affordable cost, making it viable for some conditional dungeons and worth investing some eggs into it.

It is possible a future Evo might bring Awoken skills along with a second type (Devil most likely) and better stats.

this would be really good with a L/L team even though they're generally used for heavy hp teams but stick this with a couple tanks and it could be a decent descends team with huge hp and huge burst potential

Trivia: Devil Fish is the only monster in the game with a secondary attribute and a rarity less than 4.

I think I can beat Hera using a zombie team with this.
Walrus 4 years ago ( 6.4.4 )
Now you got me thinking! "Hera Descended" is possible with a Zombie team since none of the bosses have multi-hit attacks, and there is no need for poison or armor break as the Devil Fish can one shot Neptune, so all the bosses will be very easy and reasonably quicker than an Odin/resist team.

The problem is surviving the first 4 floors as the multiple mobs there can hit from 3,480 to 6,720 dmg each. I can think of 2 strategies:

If you have enough "Skill Up" awoken abilities (an ult evoed awoken ogre lead gives +2 plus a 35k single element nuke) and a max skilled ancient dragon thrown in (light preferred), and plenty of luck to be able to leave a single enemy to stall on after nuking and charge all skills, then you might be able to survive.

Another strategy to survive the first 4 floors might involve using a leader that grants X2 HP/ATK and switching leaders to Tengu once at the first boss.

Both builds require either an Ult Evoed Amaterasu or an Ult Evoed and awoken Archangel with high enough Recovery to heal at least 70% of your total health. Devil fish's low health helps to meet this requirement.

If you get Tengu then you probably don't really need to zombie Hera to death...
By EmrysX@PF 4 years ago ( 6.3.1 )
If you don't have 2 Vritras:
Two of these, a BOdin (or PEKKA), gravity, on a dual Luci team. Sure, you'd give up some HP, but you'd be able to: MS, Grudge Strike, Grudge Strike, BOdin, MS.
That's 300k+150K+150K+50k+300k = 950,000 dmg in one round. (Granted BOdin is single target)

Grudge strike's on half the CD of gravity.

Seems like that'd be useful somewhere...

Depending on the mob's HP though, replace those two Devil Fish with two grav cards and it's probably a wiser move, but man, how else other than gravity can you do 950k+ dmg in one round!

Possible team: 56k HP, 2.6k RCV (little low on RCV I admit...)

True. I guess restricted, low level dungeons might be good for these guys, too. Maybe throw them in a Romantic Cathy team or something...

Holy crap! Vritra skill upper!
Madison in reply to Tony 4 years ago ( 6.3.0 )
This monsters skill would go nice with a lucifer team. Considering you could get this monster without the REM machine
Tony 4 years ago ( 6.3.0 )
Meh. Don't have Vritra, so probably won't go after it.
barnard 4 years ago ( 6.3.0 )
My sentiments as well!
Jay in reply to Madison 4 years ago ( 6.3.0 )
indeed, lucifer than follow by this, but this monsters hp is so low
ZeN@PF in reply to Madison 4 years ago ( 6.3.1 )
I'm not so sure being that he has 595 HP at the highest level. You want a lot higher HP subs on your SoD Lucifer team. Be much better on a zombie team with Orochi Ultimate evo'd since you actually want low HP with him
Walrus in reply to Madison 4 years ago ( 6.4.3 )
Worth keeping and investing eggs on as it has the potential to deal almost as much dmg as a morning star for a 3 star, low cost monster when maxed lvl and with 99+ Atk eggs. Max skilled (easily accomplished from Zombie dragon dungeon) means the skill is available every 7 turns. Good if you don't have a Lucifer/Satan/Vritra and need a way to blast away a pesky boss following a MS from a friend's Luci or to quickly dispatch a dangerous mob group.

Thank you thank you is all I can say, this has made my zombie deck very nice. Really works well with my Aries and tengu!
By Avelarius 3 years ago ( 7.2.3 )
I will keep four for this:

Average 4 star and a bit faster than a zombie team with about 8K recovery for 32K HP.

Then I will mix some dark ninjas and carbuncles to adjust damage, rarity, autoheal, attack, hp, recovery...

They are like the starter ingredients of a rock soup.
By Pikagami 3 years ago ( 7.3.0 )
I had four of these at one point, but I used them as EXP fodder about a month ago. Now I wish I'd kept one of them as a follow-up to The Morning Star. Luckily, these are easy to farm now and Dragon Zombie will return eventually.

UPDATE: Got another one of these after evolving the Bone Fish I got yesterday. I'll hold on to it this time as it's a handy follow-up to The Morning Star and similar Skills.

I've fed a lot of these things to my Vritra and haven't gotten even one skill-up. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I just have terrible luck...
BaronDan 5 months ago ( 12.0.3 )
In my experience, if you add two to three at a time, you have a MUCH higher chance of getting a skill-up. It may just be my own superstition though . . .
By Tobypine2 4 years ago ( 6.4.3 )
Now I have two of these. Time to put them on the Shinji-kaworu attack team with a Kinf Flamie and Mid Water Ninja. Have friends with Kirin for the boost or Alraune for healing after Flamie buffs Atk and SK uses active to reduce to 1 HP. Should end up with around 8-900k to some.
By Unkownism 4 years ago ( 6.5.2 )
If you don't have a Godin, then focus +attack monsters on Dev Fish. Gonna see how he does when Gaia descends, should prove quite useful.
By Kendal 4 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
May be a silly question, but do atk multipliers affect skills based on the attack stat? For example if you were to use a king flamie active skill (atk x3 for attacker types for one turn) then a grudge strike, would grudge strike damage be effectively tripled?

I'm guessing too good to be true, can anyone confirm or deny?
Kendal 4 years ago ( 6.5.5 )
Just tested the theory with a king baddie and helldark blood demon. King baddie's active had no effect on HBDs skill damage so looks like a no on that idea.
By Dante 4 years ago ( 7.2.2 )
Resolve team with a few of these for Expert Weds/Friday dungeon = easy peasy. Stall on first floor, then win. I will have few of these for this, soon enough, mostly just to make those two super easy wins
By Krion 3 years ago ( 7.2.3 )
Double flash leaders with luci as a sub and 2 of these and .w.e else you find amusing and your good to go.....
By Jonathan 3 years ago ( 7.2.3 )
Devil fish is perfect with lucifer and ceres. Use lucifer down to 1hp Devil fish 150x attack, then ceres back to full hp. Easily beat hera
By MaxTurtle 3 years ago ( 7.3.0 )
Great for making a King metal dragon team:

Grape dragon/Luci
Lu Bu/Luci

Stall on round one. Then once round 2 hits, Lu Bu active and then devilfish away. Only risk is if you get a king metal dragon floor 1 since they do 6k, but it's a cheap and easy way if you lack poisoners or other ways to break defense.

Should have been fish type, but attacker was the closest thing. Stupid attacking fishes.
By tonicboy 2 years ago ( 8.6.2 )
Question about his active skill... is it not affected by Leader and Friend Leader skills? I had one with 1363 ATK and my friend leader had Dark ATKx1.5. With HP at 1, I was expecting to make 306675 dmg attack but only attacked for 204450, which is exactly 150x of his own attack without the friend multiplier.
Boromir 2 years ago ( 9.2.1 )
His active has nothing to do with your leaders' skills; it's a standalone multiplier based only on Devil Fish's attack value. Leveling him up and adding atk plusses is the only way to max his attack output.
